Why did we call him instead of West again? Because he hasn't been exactly great in NOLA as of late and he's never proved to be good at the MLB level. Wrong. West had some really solid outings last year. True....plus it' not like West has to be the second coming of Cy Young....just need to get some good starts, and eat up more innings.

Vols needed an impatient hitter and a 30 year old minor leaguer to get out of the inning....

It's a prime year where they can win the ACC because they have VT, UNC, and FSU at home...with only GT on the road. Plus, they're pretty stacked. Losing to tOSU wouldn't be the end of the world, but if they can win @Pitt and Clemson, then they're in a good position to win maybe 10 or 11 games. They really need to make an ACC championship game. I cant believe they haven't even been that close to make it the past 4-5 years. They're usually in prime position to make the title game but they end up choking somehow (losing to GT in '05 and '08, VT is '04, UNC and Clemson last year). And even though Shannon signed an extension, a disappointing season could do it for him...

I second what Ashraf said. Yes trade him preferably to Texas who's showed much intrest in him and need him to play 1st base and be a backup at 3rd, we could get something decent in return for him and for the main part of it all will be able to call up LoMo. decent return? not after tonight
