Admin
No reason to use Ricky on short rest, it'll be a different pitcher and that will most likely be Volstad although it isn't official yet. My guess is that tickets page just automatically runs thru the rotation and right now we only have 4 SP so Nolasco would fall in line next. After today's game we will have a 5th starter however. Marlins2003
i was on florida marlins site to see who pitching i see one page say Ricky Nolasco or say Volstad here link http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/probable_pitchers/index.jsp?c_id=fla other here http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/ticketing/singlegame.jsp?c_id=fla look under sunday game i hope is Nolasco because he will gave us better chance winnng the game Either Tommy or Rich said last night the mention of Nolasco has a typo, an error of some sort and should never had been published. The last I heard it was between Volstad or using several members of the relief corps to kluge together a start although with the roadtrip we're about to embark on I doubt that will be the case. I Love Me Some Fish
I'd rather Nolasco pitch against the Giants anyways, a team he has owned in his career....so yeah, it will probably be Vols.
MrMarlinPride
It's gonna be Volstad who pitched only 4 innings and would be on 3 days rest which shouldn't be that bad. West pitched the 22nd and RVH pitched the 23rd so they are pretty much out of question. Unless the F.O. trades for a starting pitcher and has him here by tomorrow ready to go or Nate clears and they decide to put him for some strange reason then all signs indicate The VolstUd as Sunday's starter. Schnellders
Last I checked, Edwin said 75% it will be Volstad so expect to see him tomorrow afternoon
Shaft
hasn't volstad been getting lit up in the minors lately?
Admin
hasn't volstad been getting lit up in the minors lately? He had one bad start (his last one) but he's our only option really.
popeyethesailor
hasn't volstad been getting lit up in the minors lately? 3 starts 3.18 ERA at AAA . Give the guy reasonable run support like most of our other starters and he will be fine.
Hotcorner
gah... now it's probably down to Volstad vs Jur to win the series. Ugh.

MrMarlinPride
We need VolStud to give us a solid 6 innings then we hand it to Veras, Clay and Leo, no one else...
dim
Volstad threw 70 pitches 3 days ago. 6 innings is EXTREMELY unlikely.
MrMarlinPride
Let's pray he get a bunch of quick out grounders with his sinker and goes 6 innings only 85 pitches.
