Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post was told by a source that Hanley Ramirez is "distraught" over the Jose Reyes signing. Most reports have indicated that Ramirez isn't happy about having to move to third base, but this report has been the strongest yet describing the long-time Marlin's displeasure. President of baseball operations Admin Beinfest doesn't seem to think it will be an issue. "Hanley wants to win and we'd like to provide the pieces around him to help him win," Beinfest said. "I think Hanley can play anywhere on a baseball field. That's the kind of talent he is."
