  1. This weeks Dolphins game is a win-win for me. If we win, we squash the Tebust love. If we lose, still all aboard the suck for Luck train.
  2. TCU 69 New Mexico 0 I think it's safe to say the interim coach isn't the guy. Have there been any rumors as to who they might bring in? Any assistants at good schools available? The AD said recently that he would prefer a proven head coach either currently or unemployed. He then said that doesn't mean he wouldn't talk to an assistant. One rumor that just started going around is Houston OC Jason Phillips. Other rumored possible candidates have been: Mike Leach Rich Rodriguez Mike Belotti Arizona State OC Noel Mazzone Wisconsin running game coordinator Bob Bostad North Texas HC Dan McCarney Auburn assistant Trooper Taylor Louisiana Tech HC Sonny Dykes Texas State assistant Brad Franchione I'm just waiting to see who they pick. They can't possibly be worse than Mike Locksley.

  4. The MNF crew said on last night's broadcast when you give a good qb time to throw he will burn you(talking about Sanchez). Thought to myself, let me know when one walks onto the field. Any other place he would be considered a major bust but since he plays in NY he is a top flite QB, what a joke.
  5. I laugh everytime the Cowboys lose because I know somewhere Skip Bayless is schemeing up a sorry ass excuse as to why they didn't get it done yet again.
  6. Jose F**KING THEODORE! This team is awesome, already love watching them play.
  7. Gudbranson got a couple of nice punches in but the last two he took looked nasty.
  8. Everquest? That's still around? I use to love playing that game. I stopped playing it in 2006 and thought it died out. Wouldn't mind getting back into it one of these days if it's still going strong.
  9. Home opener about to start. Go Panthers!
  10. The Mountain West and Conference USA have reached an agreement to merge conferences for football only. Boise State, Air Force, and UCF have all been invited to join the Big East. I think it would be wise for them to stay with the new conference. The league schedule would be tougher than anything the Big East will be able to put together.
  11. Picked to win the Mountain West in the preseason poll. Two players picked as preseason first team -- one of whom was voted preseason Player of the Year. Preseason Freshman of the Year in stud Aussie Hugh Greenwood. Can't wait to whoop UNLV and shut their annoying fans up.
  12. LMAO @ the Big East considering Boise State.
  13. Could he be like Brandon Marshall and actually have a personality disorder?
  14. Pumped to be able to watch the Panthers tonight. Hopefully Theodore can have a repeat of opening night.
  15. That's a shame, I was hoping he would make it. Still can't wait for the season to start. Shock the world! Make the playoffs! Go Panthers!
  16. Howden didn't make the team?
  17. That pass by Harris to Streeter was beautiful. At first I thought Jacory overthrew him.
  18. Bethune Cookman is looking good against Miami.
  19. Hate to say it, but if the Dolphins lose at San Diego tommorow, I'm going to be hoping they lose. At 0-4, we're not coming back and making the playoffs. Not with the Bills, Patriots, and Jets all being good. I'd rather suck for an entire season and get a QB who can change the fortunes of the franchise for the next 12-15 years than gradually improve as the season goes on, still miss the playoffs and miss out on getting a player who many are saying is the best prospect they've seen coming out of college over the last 15-20 years.
  20. I'm hoping we sign Berkman to play 1st, sign Aramis for 3rd, sign Buehrle and then package Nolasco, Gaby, and Dominguez for another really good starting pitcher. Berkman got extended by the Cards. Bastards. Guess it's good insurance for them if Pujols leaves.

  22. The Mike Leach or Rich Rod to New Mexico rumors are already swirling. Leach probably has more steam to it due to his ties to the Southwest.
  23. SIK, your boy got fired today. I read your post and actually got chills lol. It came about 4 games too late. He was basically a goon with a whistle and completely clueless. Two games ago he told one of the play-by-play guys that the program was about to turn the corner... sure. On second thought, maybe he was right. With him gone there is no place to go but up. I doubt George Barlow is the man for the job but I'm interested in seeing how the team plays under him. I would love to get a top notch FCS head coach who could start picking up the pieces. Doesn't have to be flashy just get someone who knows what he's doing.
  24. Well that's great. Outside of a couple of on-court shouting matches he has been a great member of the Albuqueque community. I could care less what he did at Iowa. I'll take contending for a march madness bid every year in a mid-major conference over being the laughing stock of a major conference any day of the week. No, Steve Alford didn't run your program into the ground, it's your crappy facilities that did that. Your gym is widely regarded as one of the worst in college basketball. Alford wanted a school that would actually put money behind the program and he found one at New Mexico who did a 65 million dollar renovation on an already famous gym. There is a reason why we have trouble finding quality opponents to play us at home, not too many teams want to go in front of 18,000 opposing fans in high elevation. That's the reason why our series with Lute Olsen's Wildcats got cancelled, he didn't want to play us at home anymore. I remember when Lickliter was hired, all New Mexico fans heard from Iowa fans was how he would coach circles around Alford and how UNM fans would be calling for his firing within two years. Great call by the way. In terms of our lack of quality opponents, we have beat over the last 2 years: #3 BYU #9 BYU #10 BYU #11 BYU #18 Texas A&M #24 Texas Tech #25 UNLV #25 California The last two years mighty Iowa has beat: #6 Purdue Yeah, I can clearly see the difference between a Mountain West team and a Big Ten team. PS: Alford went 152-106 at Iowa with 3 NCAA bids and 3 NIT bids in 8 years. That doesn't qualify as running a program into the ground. Running a program into the ground is taking over for a coach who went 65-69 over ten years and going 2-26 the next 2 1/2.
  25. Hopefully this was the final nail in Locksley's coffin, losing at home to Sam Houston State 48-45. He's now 2-26 as head coach at New Mexico.
