There's an idea. How about Tony for hitting coach? Be an awkward conversation, though. "Look, we're firing your son, we want you to replace him." He probably would have been if he wanted it, same could be said about hawk.

Sitting Ruggiano and playing LoMo is a crime against the institution of major league managing.

So how much longer do we go with Eduardo Perez ... I don't put much value in hitting coaches but at the same time i wouldn't have hired a .247 lifetime hitter for my hitting coach.

As good as Ruggiano has been lately, he strikes out way too much. The main reason why hes never been more than a minor league player.. Are you f***ing kidding me right now? So much horse sh*t in this game and you pick on the only bright spot we have due to 1 ab? wow

Ozzy maybe you should bring in Ruggiano? Just saying. Or maybe he shouldn't take him out of the freaking line up.

Three runs in three games. Awesome. Against the best rotation in the majors. Are you really surprised?

The Marlins should be sellers, but they won't be because of the new stadium and whatnot. Its time to rebuild this mountain of crap. Sell who? Cishek? Who the f*** is going to want anyone else we have?

Look at the bright side. Buck, Nolasco, and Hanley will all be back next year.

Nolasco goes from no-hit stuff to batting practice. Put Leblanc in Nolascos spot in the rotation...fml

Ozzie is pretty frustrating. “Hanley struggling right now at the plate. A soon as Hanley starts hitting the ball better he will be moved back to where he is supposed to be, manager Ozzie Guillen said. Guillen eventually would like to see Ramirez bat third. “But he has got to start hitting the way he needs to hit to earn that spot, Guillen said. “When he starts swinging the bat better, then we move him to batting third because that is the place he should be. http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/marlins/2012/07/13/hanley-ramirez-dropped-in-marlins-batting-order/ Its frustrating how he moves Hanley down and does not move up Ruggiano. Hottest hitter on the team presently and he is hitting 6th, its borderline moronic.

I miss the old nationals. I miss the Reyes, Hanley, & Morrison that can hit a damn baseball.

So, What now?
Rugs needs to be batting 3rd with Boni leading off and Reyes batting 2nd. Move Hanley down until he finds his stroke or until Rugs comes back to earth.

Hanley hurts himself
As a Marlin, Lee's Houston numbers are completely irrelevant. No you don't have to account for a bench player. The reason why the number of AB's is RELEVANT is because there's an exact reason that they're bench players. They have proven over time as starters that they can't sustain those numbers. I do agree your worst RISP guys shouldn't be anywhere up at the top. Yeah I still disagree about Lee, he is currently active and I feel you have to take into account the season numbers as a whole regardless of what uniform they had on. Anyways I think its ridiculous that Hanley hasn't been bumped for Ruggiano. I don't expect Ruggiano to be a better player than Hanley in the long run but how do you not take advantage of him right now in the top 3rd of the lineup?

Hanley hurts himself
I think its ridiculous that he is batting second solely because of his past performances. He has no business being in the top 6 of our lineup right now. He has the third-best on-base percentage of our currently-active players. I see Ruggiano, Stanton, Reyes, Dobbs, Morrison, Lee all having better OBP than Hanley. Hanley is also near the bottom of our active players with RISP. "Currently-active." Stanton is not currently active, he's on the DL. Ruggiano and Dobbs don't have the ABs necessary for you to say that. Lee JUST joined the team, can't really count him. Morrison and Reyes are all that's left. 3rd-highest. Yes you can count on Lee as what he did in Houston is still relevant. I'll give you Stanton as I was picturing the lineup with him in it. But if you take out Stanton don't you have to account for Dobbs? The number of AB's is irrelevant as they haven't proven they will have a worse OBP. And there is still that little thing about having one of your worst RISP players batting 2nd/3rd.

Heath Bell sucks right now but there comes a point where you have to wonder wtf is Ozzy thinking still throwing him out there. In between Ozzy still having Bell close games and having Hanley in the top third of our line up you have to wonder what goes through this guys head.
