  1. he started following the marlins after they won the NLDS so i dont think he's aware of his blisters and such... ... Of course. How would I know he had finger problems. I just took a wild guess.
  2. He's had finger problems.
  3. Putting Beckett out there today would make our manager look like crap and would COMPLETELY mess up the confidence of any other pitcher we have.
  4. Dude, do you know what the effect of throwing so much has on your arm? I mean, even a KNUCKLE baller can't pitch night after night unless they come out the bullpen.
  5. You answered you're question yourself. He's young. We don't wanna kill his arm do we? I call it "The Torborg Effect" The Torborg Effect: When a pitcher is overused and no matter if he's doing good or bad and throws 140+ pitches 10+ times in the season, it's Torborgarizing the pitcher. I know AJ had a no hitter, but NINE walks. I don't remember how many pitches he threw but after that, people knew he was in line for TJS. Especially after pitching so much last year with all his complete games. And then there was Spooney. Who was on pace to pitch 200+ innings before TJS. But not all victims of the Torborg Effect pitch bad after they come back. Look at Kerry Wood. He's in line for more surgery but has pitched nasty the past few years. In conclusion, would you reather have Beckett for a couple games, or maybe 10-15 years?
  6. You know those stupid newscasters though. It seems Channel 7 is the only channel that actually knows about sports and baseball. I wouldn't be suprised if CBS4 said what you heard! edit: lmao! You did get it for CBS4. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
  7. Beckett has a great furture ahead of him. It'd be stupid to mess with his arm just to win a game. I don't care if it IS the World Series. He threw 104 pitches last night and to even have him warming up is a HUGE risk. What if there is a game 7? Who's gonna start that? D-Train?! HA!
  8. I know it's not over. I said that last night because I was a little ticked off and I say that all the time. I recorded game 5 of the NLCS when we were in a hole and game 6 too because I know always comeback.
  9. Yes I did. You said you've been watching them for a couple months... When they were winning... B-Dub. And Loop wasn't awesome. He struggled a lot and they only time anyone could rely on him is with a 20 run lead.
  10. Me?! YOU'RE A BANDWAGONER WHO SAID YOU'VE ONLY BEEN WATCHING FOR ABOUT A MONTH! You haven't even seen the team play the whole year. Ugh... I can't believe a bandwagoner just tried to own me... Unreal...
  11. I'm used to being called a bandwagoner so I really don't pay attention to that crap. I said before I know we can come back and it's not over but it'll be tough.
  12. I'm not giving up but we NEEDED to win tonight. It's gonna take a damn miracle now.
  13. It's the Yankee's. The Giants and Cubs didn't have any dominate guy out the bullpen. Miss America makes it a 7 inning game.
  14. No way was Fox biased towards the Marlins. They showed Cabs homer in game 7 3 times and they showed Kerry Wood and Moises Alou's a combined 20+ times! Hell, they showed that horrible play made by Bako when Conine hurt his leg more than Cabs homer.
