Fox's NLCS Coverage biased towards Marlins?

They favored the Cubs if anything.

They so amazingly obviously favored the Cubs it wasn't funny IMO. That's why I put this letter to the editor on here, it makes no sense at all to me.

arguable...

alot of my buddies thought they were favoring the Marlins

Cub fans now changing their tune (and still whining) because the Marlins beat them. This Cubs circus may never end, they've been done almost a week now, and the fans are still yapping. My goodness...

You must be young oheeeoh. There's nothing wrong with that, hell, I wish I was your age. But this circus, as you correctly named it, started way before this years NLCS and will continue well after we are all long gone.

I never noticed the Cubs media circus until this year, but I hope your wrong that it will continue until long after we are all gone, because that would be borderline torture.

I felt like the only time they said anything about the Marlins was when we forced them to. If there wasn't anything significant going on in the game, it was all about the Cubs.

Coverage has NOT been favorable to Marlins.

McCarver is a homer, and Buck goes along with his NY nonsense.

Marty and Psycho were eating at Harry Carry's for free with their bias. Leiter was fair compared to them, that's because all he did was analyze the plays, not comment.

Buck is towards the Marlins, but McCarver is towards the Yankees in bias.

My ideal FOX world series crew would be Buck and Palmer. McCarver can be thrown out the booth.

Jim Palmer, Former Orioles pitching great, former ABC analyst, and currently works for O's TV/Comcast SportsNet calling games for the O's. Comcast SportsNet is affiliated with Fox Sports Net and they could use Palmer if he agreed to do it. He used to call the games with Al Michaels and the horrid McCarver back when they had baseball.

Give it a rest, Magglio. Go root for your cherished Marlins, the somehow kindred spirits for the UNWUVABLE White Sox.

I think everyone is jealous of the Marlins. I read in the Sun Sentinel and it's pretty obvious the rest of the country hates our Marlins. They're jealous of our South Beach, nightlife, great weather and now our baseball team.

New York has NOTHING on Miami. They only wish they had what we have.

I agree. The comment about how good our team defense was became kind of a joke at the time because we made some errors when they focused on our D. This is clearly a Cub fan venting - otherwise they would all commit...Haray Caray. ;)

Look, this is a group of people who, for generations, have been chanting 'wait til nextyear'. Of course they are going to make excuses - and they have become damn good at it too.

Actually,

Tim McCarver has been a known Yankee hater for some years and absolutely refused to give the Yankee dynasty of the late 90's any credit at all. Just watch the tapes of the late 90's Yankee games on FOX. I guess you didnt see those.

Though I must admit, so far in the World Series he has made some pro-yankee comments (Though he hasnt shut the Marlins out completely either).

Then again, you have to root for someone since the cubs and sox didnt make the series... :confused

All i'm saying is it's crazy to say the NLCS coverage favored the Marlins.

The Marlins didn't get nearly as much 'love' as the Cubs did in the NLCS.

I was just a little confused by Marco's sentiments.

No way was Fox biased towards the Marlins. They showed Cabs homer in game 7 3 times and they showed Kerry Wood and Moises Alou's a combined 20+ times! Hell, they showed that horrible play made by Bako when Conine hurt his leg more than Cabs homer.

When Cubs were losing games, the announcing team was pretty damn quiet. When the Cubs were winning, they had 500 things to say every minute. It was like watching a regular game, called by the home team announcers when the visitor team was winning.

bulls***. It was nothing but Beckett in game 5, non-stop talk about Jack being the baseball equivalent of Gandalf, and how Miguel Cabrera is the wave of the future. Oh, and the everpresent "every single game won by the Marlins has been come from behind" whenever the Cubs were ahead.

Oh for the love of Pudge, can we move on here? The series is over, we won. If they want to whine and complain, let 'em, we won, they lost, end of story. They can say whatever they want, we're in the Series, they're not...again.
