he will be out from 1 week to possibly 6 weeks if there is swelling

i know i know but i assumed at worst he would be out till Opening Day

*thinks positive thoughts*

are looking at cabrera in center for a few weeks?

if not, who would pick up the slack for JP?

Sure Cabrera could play anywhere. But if JP is out 6 weeks, then look for Nunez to take the spot.

If JP AND Lowell go down simultaneously you could wind up with Cabs at third, Cordero in right and Nunez in center. It would be a totally different club. I wonder (not hoping) how they'd do?

yea, Cabs is definitely not a CF

i think he will be fine but i wasnt pleased when i heard this on the radio this morning

1 to 6 weeks? Wow, talk about going out on a limb with your reporting. Sure this wasn't out of the Herald or something?

JP may be out for a day, or his career may be over, depends on the swelling.

I would rather have JP play all 162 games but when you think about it, this is Nunez' time to shine. He could do very well the rest of ST and then if JP is out, Nunez can TRY to fill in for him for a while.

Could be a blessing in dusguise or... one of the worst things to happen the Fish since we signed Armando Almanza.

damn it. I like the phillies, but the marlins do deserve to have a shot at making the postseason again, and with a weak braves team and a little lucl (and bad luck for philly) it's possible. But this is sure as hell not making it easy.
