March 29, 200422 yr I cant believe, my man pitches like a champion and nothing on this board? You guys really give him no respect at all, he came into spring training in great shape, very focused, has had the best spring ever and nothing. I give up!
March 29, 200422 yr You shouldn't give up dawg... he most definitely had an impressive outing...i have my opinion on him...should have been the WS MVP (IMO) don't rip me for it....
March 29, 200422 yr Go Dime :thumbup he looked really sharp and I love the fact he learned the change, it proves he is turning into a pitcher and that is a SCARY thing for the rest of the league.
March 29, 200422 yr Author Hey, you arent alone in thinking that way, Jack even sd he thought Penny had been overlooked, Tommy Hutton sd basically the same thing today during the game. I know I sure think so. Thanks for the support.
March 29, 200422 yr One thing that concerned me was the Sox made plenty of contact, even if it was mostly fouls but they are the Red Sox the same team that led all sorts of Offensive categories so they do know how to hit...
March 29, 200422 yr penny wiht an awesome performance. cant overlook that. he will be very crucial to this team's success. go dime! :thumbup
March 29, 200422 yr Oh please. It is spring training! Penny looks sharp. Great. I too thought he was going to win WS MVP - but he didnt because Beckett got a tough decision in one game and pitched lights out against the Yankees. There was a lot of speculation over that move that Jack made to give Beckett the ball too. Penny has a lot of talent and none of us here doubt that. So please, if you are trying to define some kind of bandwagon or create an atmosphere of disrespect for Penny in that he is being overlooked - you are overreacting. Take that junk somewhere else.
March 29, 200422 yr IF ANYBODY'S BEEN IGNORED ITS PAVANO!!!!!! Not a syllable about him anywhere other than how he helped Beckett last year

March 29, 200422 yr Author Thanks to all of you for your support and kind words, as far as Pavano, he has also done a tremendous job and is also a very nice guy!! Most of the guys on the team are. I think that is why there is such good chemistry. Johnnylons, I am not trying to create a bandwagon or anything else here, just a little respect for a great guy, who has had a great spring. He has struggled some in the past spring trainings, this year he didnt and he has been working on some pitches. As far as I am concerned, you arent exactly the kind of person I would care to have on my bandwagon anyway.
