Game Three Attendance

Featured Replies

it's not like many people go to church anywayz...sadly

Jack will be there.

:notworthy

Guys remember the Marlins will compete with the Heat for attendance because the Heat will be in the playoffs.

A sold out AAA and 17-18k for the Marlins is excellent progress for the Marlins on weekdays. No less than 25k on the weekends though.

Also it is Easter weekend and alot of people are in church and stuff.

Yeah, LeBron is in town and the thought of that almost dragged me away from the ballpark tonight.

almost . . .

Wooo 30+ Average so far :hat

There should still be 25,000+ today maybe more. The heat sold out its first game today against cleveland but that shouldnt affect the marlins too much. I think the absolute most we get today is 30,000 but probably closer to 25

One thing i thought about is if we start winning and show south fla that we can win again, will the attendence still go down from what weve seen(18k on a thursday vs MON) or is it just because of all the unthusiasm because its the beginning of the season.

attendance sucked because:

1. weekdays are always rough

2. the heat are in the playoffs, and as i said earlier, i--and i think most ticket-buying sports fans--would rather go to a heat game than a marlins game at this time of the year

3. school isn't out yet... baseball attendance is largely driven by the little ones :thumbup

4. expos-marlins is probably one of the least popular matchups we could have

don't worry. in a month, all will be good.

Actually the heat probably doesnt have to do much with the attendance. If you guys remember we didnt do to well attendance wise last year. So you cant expect us to do great every night. In fact 17 and 18k for wens and thurs is actually pretty good. Alot of teams do alot worse than that for weekday april and may games. Pitt got 9,000 yesterday and alot of teams have gotten 12k ad 13k. Remeber we dont have a gigantic fan base like some of the other teams that get 30,000 every night. As long as we do good attendance will be fine. If we can average 25,000 for the season we would probably beat out alot of teams

I do believe the Heat have alot to do with attendance. Alot of people are at Heat games now, and some of them would surely be at Marlins games if not for the fact that the Heat were in the hunt for the 4 seed.

gotta love typical bandwagon miami fans.

the heat had 20,000 + today, we beat them by 3,000. Tomorrow there is no heat game for those of you who think they are going to dip into our fan base. Lets hope we get 40,000 tomorrow
