I have even been a fan in the off years, I don't change favorite teams....ever. But living here in Florida I have also become a Heat fan. Yeah, they have been weak on their drafts. But it seems to me that their luck is bad. With crappy positions from the lottery with a really bad team, they never could get better. I'm too lazy to look and see the actual draft positions, but if you do I'm sure you'll see for yourself. Free agency is how they became respectable. My point here, Das... Tim Duncan fell to your team, the Spurs should have never recieved the first pick overall that year. That bad season was an injury plagued fluke, and the Spurs had the luck of the draw. There was no eye for talent there....it was the obvious choice.

Essentially you had the Spurs and Kings over in Europe for a long time. There is multiple reasons why the West is better than the East. Global scouting is just one of many reasons. Yes we got lucky with Tim Duncan, anyone knows that and everyone would of taken him at #1. But what about those 4.

May 24, 200323 yr I assume you are talking about Hollis Price? He is a tweener at best. Would be worth using a late second rounder on though, but I suspect you can get him after the draft if you really want him on the free agent market.
May 24, 200323 yr Price blows.... well.. i dont think he will make it in the pros Hollis Price is clutch and he can really shoot lights out but he doesn't have height to play 2 guard but he can be a project to convert him into PG.He has the quickness to play PG and decent dribble.He can become a great pro if he can learn to play PG.
May 27, 200323 yr Lebron will be a bust Melo will be good even doing reasonably well early but The Man of The Draft and the man who will make all other Yugoslavian players look like trash is Darko. He has played 4 years of good pro basketball and is still 18, he's a good kid and I think a guy parents can actually have their kid look up too.

May 28, 200323 yr The kids overhyped often fizzle out. We can all speculate one way or the other. Lebron will not be a star right away, The Cavs will coddle him and the Cavs will underachieve. It will all depend on how badly Lebron wants to win, or if he simply wants himself to look good. There will be a learning curve....no high school player has come right out and simply dominated like many feel will happen.....Be prepared for the naysayers to have their time to shine...after that it will depend on how badly Lebron wants to win.

May 29, 200323 yr Hank Goldberg is full of crap. Denver likes the prospects of Carmelo. He would fit in well on this team. They already have Nene up front, adding Carmelo woudl give them that dynamic swingman they want. I doubt you see the Nuggets trade down. It would take a whole lot to do so...

While they do like Carmelo a lot, they just drafted Skita #5 last year and he plays the # position. They also have Rodney White, who has a ton of potential after leaving after his freshman year to be selected #9 by Detroit. They are both natural 3s like Carmelo. Melo does not have the size to play the four and may not be able to handle the 2 as well so who knows?
June 1, 200323 yr have you seen nicholas twhatever play? he was arguably the worst pick out there last year. rodney white also is garbage. kiki will not make the same mistake twice. from what I hear, Denver preferred the #3 slot....cause then they wouldnt have to make a decision, they could take the player not taken already and not have to worry about fan reaction. The Nuggets will take Carmelo at #3...besides what in the hell does Miami have to offer? After the first three the draft is a crap shoot.
June 1, 200323 yr Upon further review.... I have come to the conclusion that you dont know what you are talking about Marlins Bandit Nikoloz Tskitishvili is a 7 feet tall forward/center. His development will have nothing to do with selecting Carmelo, if it were Darko we are discussing then you would have an arguement. Rodney White, while a guard/forward will not prevent the Nuggets from taking Carmelo. Explain to me again how Goldberg is on top of things?
