April 16, 200422 yr The Marlins pitching staff made history today as no team had shut out an opponent in a three game series on the road since the 1969 Mets......35 years. Just indicates how special these guys really are.
April 16, 200422 yr the best thing about setting records like this is that it forces all the news outlets who have been ignoring the Marlins to give us some props. once again, they won't give us any respect, so we go out and take it.
April 16, 200422 yr Baseball Tonight finally said they are pitching better than anyone expected them to
April 16, 200422 yr Meh, this staff is very average. I can think of four or five better in the division.
April 16, 200422 yr Most teams are able to figure out other pitchers after a couple games, I mean we have all heard about how Mordeci picks stuff up from the bench. The Marlins pitchers proved how good they are by doing this because there are quite a few veterans on the Expos and they couldnt figure out the Fish to get any runs. I love the potential of this rotation, because they can only get better, and we still have A.J. waiting to get back on the mound.
April 16, 200422 yr who the hell cares what the national media thinks. I enjoy seeing the Marlins win more than anything else...attendance, media, etc.
April 16, 200422 yr Also the first time any team has shut out an opponent in four straight games since 1969.
April 16, 200422 yr The last time a team shut out another in a 3 game series was in 1995 when the Orioles did it to the Tigers. I guess U mean 4 str8 times.Which is which what we did! GO MARLINS!!!

April 16, 200422 yr Author Yeah, the key to this accomplishment is that it had not been done on the road since the 69' Mets.....who happen to be one of the storied teams in baseball. They had a year very similar to the '03 Marlins...with Tom Seaver on the mound. Blanking a team at home is one thing....but doing it on the road is a much more impressive accomplishment.
April 16, 200422 yr Can't a person make a mistake "DUDE". Calm the attituide down! Its dood. :lol ya, im chillsky dood...your overreacting.

April 17, 200422 yr Damn we could of kept on going with this record but of couse we allowed some runs to the braves. Oh well it was still a great thing to accomplish.
