MarooneMarlin
Now don't get mad at me I'm just saying what i saw. I reviewed my tape and you could clearly see that when cordero was out to get the ball he basically oushed it out... i saw it about 10 times... if he would have left it alone it would have dropped. Im not mad, i know it was a mistake but i just want know if anyone else noticed that.
Libelula
Yeah, it was in the park. Cordero screwed up. Instead of only one run scoring on the sac fly, they get 4.
FLCL00
i think everyone noticed that. if cordero would have done his job and caught it we probably would have won that game
PBMarlin
Cordero was responsible for 5 runs tonight. He also trotted in on a pop up that was playable......but fell in front of him. He should have called Alex off and made the play. Cordero's lack of hustle, and hitting is unimpressive.

Libelula
yes lets all blame Wil now no let's all talk in lowercase and act like we don't give a crap about the marlins losing and then we can go make fun of other users even though we try to act all big and cool cool, no? Ramp
you guys get so upset over the smallest things, it's like you dont even watch Marlins baseball or any baseball at all weird things happen in games once the game is over, I, like most people get over the loss rather quickly others like to dwell on it.... maybe that because im a little bit older I see things differently... I dont know
MarooneMarlin
Ramp- Why when u know somethin is true u act like we r just saying things to be on the marlin side? I was just reading the other post where u were acting as if the umps were actually making good calls....it was obvious they were on the Giants side... and i know that sounds childish but did u really actually c the game??? come on now... MarooneMarlin
I think the games do mean something... we learn from it. But we can;t do anything if the umps are rigged! That just not fair....

MarooneMarlin
Why doesn't baseball have replays? I think it clearly needs it. Because a lot of us got robbed tonight. But dont they have a rule if a player pushes the ball out of the field? Or do they still rule it a home run?

nc marlin
I don't understand why people think this is such a tough loss. A tough loss is a walk-off hr in the bottom of the 13th or something. The Fish were behind for most of the game. No point in sitting here saying "oh, but if this would have happened then this would have happened then we would have won" or "this player sucks because he hasn't hit a home run in a whole two games and he made an error tonight." The Fish lost. You can't reverse history so get over it. Let's get 'em tomorrow.
Libelula
I don't understand why people think this is such a tough loss.? A tough loss is a walk-off hr in the bottom of the 13th or something.? No one said anyone sucked but clearly if Cordero caught the ball, we would have had a better chance. P.S. - You have Darren Oliver in your avatar and you don't want Wilson Valdez in 2004? I have feeling you like losing.
MarooneMarlin
wutever. Im just a strong believer in all things will even out. Everything will be justified... we'll get them tomorrow. And hopefully we'll walk over those umps so yea. lets go marlins!
AreeSongRules
wil didnt catch the ball. thats the end. but blaming the loss on wil is stupid. these things happen. why is it always a team effort when a team wins, but when a team loses, we blame the loss on a specific player? c'mon, the loss wasn't wil's fault. pitching sucked today. FishFan24
So the Marlins lost after being up by 7 runs? BFD. How many runs were they up in Colorado before they came back and won? Strange stuff happens guys, but you know this team always bounces back. 1 loss isn't the end of the world. :mischief
repeatin04
This may be the dumbest post I've ever seen. It doesn't matter if it was "technically" a grand slam or not. It still scored four runs and put all the momentum on the Giants side. You can't give up a seven run lead. You just can't do that. That was pathetic. And there is NO excuse for playing that kind of baseball. If you are going to lose a game by getting blown out, fine. You lose plenty of games in baseball. But you DON'T give up a seven run lead. repeatin04
And to blame this game on the umps or on Will Cordero is just stupid. One person was responsible for this loss and that is Dontrelle Willis. He blew a seven run lead, which resulted in the bullpen entering the game in the second inning with NO outs recorded and the bases LOADED. That is not a good situation to put anyone into. Dontrelle made a huge mess and Tommy Phelps or Nate Bump or anyone else would have had a hard time cleaning that up on the road. Sure it's just one game, but this is a huge loss because they gave away a seven run lead and a chance to go up 2-0 on the Giants. They never play well on this west coast swing and they have been playing great. This was a demoralizing loss. Much more so than a blowout, or a walkoff in the bottom of the ninth. This is the kind of loss that could turn this trip into a losing effort. They have to win one of two to come out ahead on this trip.
