Good to see the guys bust out of the losing streak tonight. Solid pitching from everyone.

 

Just to point out: 'Mando's career high for IP is 78.0, he's on pace to pitch well over 110 this season. That could be an issue, hopefully we just start blowing teams out and we don't need him to close as many games out.

 

Good game, just wish we would have kept adding on, these fast starts and then no offense games are killing me, at least we won though :thumbup

It's been like that all season. 1 and done. Score in the first inning and then no more. But at least Penny pitched great. He looks like our ace.

Penny pitched a hell of a game...no props for BP? hehe...Nice to see Nunez play some good ball too. As for the umps, they screwed us over with that Enc foul call.

Benitez got the job done....thanks to Bradley. I'm a bit concerned that Jack is going to wear him out. He can't keep pitching this much. Perisho was doing very well. My thought was he should have stayed in.

I would agree with you, but remember the tying run was at plate, and we had 4 straight Ls on our record...Jack wasn't going to fool around, so he pulled the trigger. :thumbup

Penny has really impressed me this year, as I wasn't a big fan of his over the past few. Our offense was in the "one and done" scoring mode again. We should've hit Weaver harder. But hey, it's a win.

We should have rocked Weaver like everybody else has been doing this year, so those 2 runs are sort of disappointing. But with the way Penny was throwing the ball there was no need for the bats to come alive. A great win any way to look at it because it snaps a far too long losing streak.
