June 25, 200422 yr On the radio they're talking trade. They say there's no way we're getting another swingman type player.
June 25, 200422 yr That was the worst decision by the Heat ever. Now the Nuggets just got him. He fell in our lap, and we ignored him. Was Riley drunk???
June 25, 200422 yr excellent pick by denver. jameer should fit in very well with carmelo. damnit...thank god the nuggets are out of the spurs division.
June 25, 200422 yr On the radio they're talking trade. They say there's no way we're getting another swingman type player. thats what i said the heat are packaging a deal right now to send out this guy we took
June 25, 200422 yr After 10 seconds of WTF, my next thought was that this guy was going to be traded. Right? RIGHT? COME ON! We could have locked up a PG for the next 10-15 years, a guy who, like Wade and Butler, dominated in college, and in the tournament, and could have been a great NBA player, someone who could contribute this season. Instead, we got a swingman who won't be ready for 3 years? What if he isn't any good? And even if he is, what the hell are we going to do with him? We don't need a swingman now, and we won't need one in 3 years. We won't need one in 10 years. I don't get it. This has to be a trade situation. It just has to be. This is the worst pick possible. We didn't get a big man, and we didn't get Nelson. Gotta be a trade. If not, I don't know how the front office is going to live this one down. Maybe that Wade pick was really lucky, and we've taken to overestimating them.
June 25, 200422 yr Strengths: A high flyer, Dorell is a new comer to the basketball seen. Although still very raw Dorell has that raw athletic ability that makes coaches go wild. His super quick first step allows him to blaze by almost any defender with almost no effort. Dorell has a nice looking shot that is effective from anywhere on the floor. His quick feet and long arms give him the ability to be a very solid defender and rebounder. Dorell also has underrated passing and ball handling skills. With the right work ethic and coaching, Dorell could turn out to be one of the best players in his class. Weaknesses: Dorell is still very raw. His jump shot is developing and his understanding of the game is coming along nicely. By simply watching game tapes from his junior and senior year one can easily see the dramatic improvement in his game?Dorell will have to learn to position his body for rebounds and defense. Till now he has been able to use his otherworldly physical gifts to get by. He also needs to work on cutting down on turnovers and getting back on defense. Notes: A super prospect with the athletic talent to be a difference maker in the league. -Savneet Singh 5/4/04
