Posted July 2, 200420 yr This is what Lloyd McClendon was quoted as saying. What do you think of this? Personally, I think that is very true. To watch this guy pitch is truly something great. His fastball ranges from 95 - 97 and his hook is sick. He's perfect through 3 innings with 5ks vs. the Brewers right now.
July 2, 200420 yr Dontrelle is the flakiest pitcher in the majors... you just don't know what you're going to get out of him... Perez is a decent pitcher right now, who shows flashes of brilliance... I guess I'd say it's true.. It really a toss-up right now.
July 3, 200420 yr I will take Dontrelle right now talent wise. To win this year, Perez. And Llyod Mclendon is an idiot IMHO. Dontrelle will be better, whether its as a reliever or not, then Perez.
July 3, 200420 yr Perez has better stuff, is better now, and will be better in the future than Willis. Such is life Marlins fans, sorry.
July 3, 200420 yr Why was he comparing them anyway? Right now it's true, but they both have plenty of time to show their stuff.
July 3, 200420 yr Author The reporter compared Perez to young pitchers in the past such as Valenzuela and Willis.
July 3, 200420 yr its still to early to compare these guys...but if i had to pick one today.. perez>willis...sorry d-train but your not going in the right direction
July 3, 200420 yr I'd have to say Perez. Perez has got the better repetoire of pitches and throws a lot harder.
