Analysis of the 2000 draft, just 1st round
Generally you shouldn't judge a draft until about 6 years have passed. This one's pretty easy though, you can smell it coming. It's craptastic.

Say goodbye to minor league ball in Tennessee
What will this mean for the Predato.... Oh never mind.

Why'd the Angels sign Finley?
They had cash to burn (over $20M between Appier, Glaus, Percival) and know first-hand the problems that arise when you lack sufficient depth. 694946[/snapback] If only their was a better, younger option at CF available on the FA market.

Sosa: Nobody can replace me
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-cubs-headlines "I understand that they say they don't need me. They lie," he said. "Because, I understand that they want to move forward. I can understand that. But I don't think anybody can replace me. They can say whatever they want to say, but it's going to be hard to duplicate me." When he left that Oct. 3 game, one or more of Sosa's teammates destroyed his boom box. Asked about the incident yesterday, Sosa smiled and said, "When the man is not in the house, the chickens are jumping around." :whistle

Is Clemens crazy!?
http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp Houston television KRIV-TV, citing Major League Baseball sources, reported Thursday night the Astros and Roger Clemens were "very close to agreement" on a one-year contract that will make the seven-time Cy Young Award winner the highest-paid pitcher in history. According to the station, the Astros will give Clemens a guaranteed salary in excess of the previous record of the highest salary earned by a pitcher in a single season, $17.5 million last year by Pedro Martinez, then with the Boston Red Sox. The station also reported the agreement could be announced as soon as Friday.
