Well, I think it's pretty sad :( watching Abe Nunez sit in the duggout looking sad! If they were winning, that would be one thing...but when you are losing, and creating no offense, I feel you have to shake things up!

My opinion is, that Jack cooled a HOT Nunez off by not playing him from day one! Conine was totally out of it from his sinus infection, and because he was not allowed to rest and fully recover...he has never gotten back to where he should be.

If Abe did not perform after several starts coming right out of his great Spring...then you could truly say that his Spring was possibly a fluke. But he was never allowed to con't. his momentum from Spring! And then you stick a cool Nunez in and expect him to do something???

Not a lot of players are good at that! Even Lenny Harris needs to play once and a while!

a hot Nunez was hitting homers of A ball pitchers

if Nunez plays, what's the worst that happens? We dont get that 9th inning meaningless 1 run?

forget nunez!

let mordi have some more AB's :thumbup

Even Len and Tommy were mentioning, Nunez has been in the doghouse since his little media spout off. Anyway, as good as Dontrelle is, it's pretty embarrassing when a starting pitcher is called on to pitch hit before you are.

Jack did well tonight. the bullpen was used correctly and Willis did get on base right?

Fact is, we're losing... !

Give the guy a few starts, in a row!! see if he can get going... I would be frustrated to. He was cooled off when he was hot, so see if he can get it going again after playing a week.

I was a Nunez fan coming out of ST.

But you've got to take advantage of your chances when they are given to you. Nunez' performance has steadily declined since the beginning of the season.

If he wants more playing time, the only way to make a case for it is to perform.

And the only way to perform, IS TO PLAY!! :thumbup

yOU can say what you want...but we are LOSING and creating little offense! With the lineup right now!

Nunez doesn't even want to be here.

He's a career minor leaguer who lied about his age and he expects to start for the defending world champions?

The very fact that he's our 4th outfielder is sad. We should at the very least have gotten a Michael Tucker or Raul Ibanez to fill that role.

the offense has been BLOWING hard lately...whats the worst that happens if Nunez gets in? The dude can hit (in ST)...why not give him another chance. Hell, at this point, I don't mind giving Castro another chance. Once again, what's the worst that happens?

I would still like to see him get in there more, either to help out the team or bring up his trade value.

Exactly!

I still would like to see him given one more shot! especially since we are losing, and need some offense

I like the guy, and would love to see him succeed and prove everyone wromg.

It is kind of insulting when a pitcher is called upon to pinch hit before you are. Unless Jack was expecting extra innings tonight, why not call on Abe before Dontrelle?.... Sure you can say that Dontrelle got on base, so it worked, but I still think that's a kick in the stomach to Abe...

I'm not an Abe fan, by the way. Just simply making an observation.

The thing is most have more confidence in Dontrelle hitting than Nu?ez.

Well, they shook things up...and won ....

And Nunez played...a little...walked I think, made a good catch! I know a lot of you are down on him, but I still like him, and want to see him do well!

Wiliingham did SH*T!!!! But Abe did alright! Guy sitting all alone on the bench, real sad looking, but the first to get up and high five a guy...and then go sit back down by himself :(

Cut the stubborn crap out Jack!

wanna know why he's benched? because he's a bum...he bunted into a double play twice in one game i believe. and he just sucks as a MLB player. He's been given a few oppoutinities to show his stuff and well, he just hasn't. Sit your ass down and get ready to pinch run till we trade you OMGNUNEZ.

sure, i have a little more hatred towards him because he looked at me wierd when i asked him to sign my ball after BP...at least penny said that he was busy...YOU DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT ME!

By the look of some Marlins fans I see, at that park...some obnoxious, semi-retarded pests...I don't blame the players for being annoyed at them. Not that you are neccessarily, but those people make it tough for the normal people to get autographs.

in my opinion.. :D

Give credit where it is due. Nunez worked the walk very well tonight, putting Lowell in scoring position, and being on-base when Gonzalez hit his bomb.

He seems a bit too eager to bunt, however. Robinson needs to work with him to improve his overall approach to hitting.

well it was at tampa and i asked him in spanish, because alot of latin players respond to fans better if they can relate somehow, like manzy and castillo...

but nunez...man...

Anyone over the age of 14 who asks a player for an autograph should beimmediately drug out into the street and shot.
