but the thing is....people are not engrossed with open wheel racing.

 

 

F1 cars are all about technology, which is cool.....but the on track racing is boring. period.

 

 

open wheel racing has taken a massive backseat in the United States to all forms of stock car racing.

You can't compare Ferrari to the Yankees...yes they are dominating now, but remember that before they went on this amazing run they had been 20 years without winning a championship. I agree though that it isn't boring...a true F1 fan like yourself appreciates when history is being made in the sport. I'm too young to have seen Senna race. The first guy I remember clearly seeing was Damon Hill when he won with the Williams (I vaguely remember Nigel Mansell). I do remember Ferrari when it wasn't a powerhouse, they had a French guy who I cant think of the name now and an Austrian I think called Berger or something like that.

MS has one main advantage over every one which is Ferrari team.I'm not going to take anything away from his driving skills but the car helps.

Michael Schumacher made Ferrari, Ferrari did not make Michael Schumacher. Michael Schumacher, Jean Todt, and Ross Braun are the reasons Ferrari is what it is today.

No not Villeneuve, I'm not that old. I remember who it was...Jean Alesi..a good driver but his car wasn't as good as the Williams at the time.
