Why would you trade away the teams two biggest power threats and keep two lead-off hitters? That makes no sense. You can have Castillo for the same price as Lowell or Lee next season. And you cannot argue this one out. There is no way that makes sense. You talk about no protection for Lowell in my roster suggestion, but in yours there is nobody to protect in the first place.

You are right, no 1B in baseball can match his speed or glove. But he is not as powerful as Jason Giambi Carlos Delgado, ect... In another stadium he might average 35 HR's a year, but not whilr he's in a Marlins uniform... I honestly think he will hit 30 HR this year, whether it be as a Marlin or for someone else. He has the talent to do it. Just not the stadium...

Thanks for the post Ramp. I was trying to make this point earlier. This is not some guy make a mil or even two, this is a very expensive piece of "talent". Without payroll relief I don't see how he'd fit in.

The most credible source for Marlins News is this forum, so don't ruin the record with this stab in the dark by Gammons in order to make the image he has the insight on the Marlins. Beinfest and Loria don't even have an insight into the Marlins yet.
