June 19, 200323 yr This was a debate on Baseball Tonight either last night or hte night before I believe. Its hard to choose. Eric Gagne John Smoltz No other closer is close. Although a certain Astro closer is nasty, just not three pitch nasty.

June 20, 200323 yr oh also benitez, the past 28 inns (may and june) hes only let in 12 hits, 8 BB 1 run, around 24 ks in the past 25 inns (may and june) for smoltz hes let in 19 hits, 4 runs 4 BB with 28 ks in the past 22.2 inns (may and june) for gagne hes let in 9 hits, 7 runs 5 BB with 43 ks to me benitez has been 2nd best, gagne comes first, smoltz doesnt have BAA or WHIP and k's
