DOCTOR'S HOSPITAL FAMILY SUNDAY, AUGUST 1ST

EASTON BOMB SQUAD: Fans can watch sluggers compete in a home run hitting contest on the field, beginning at 2:00 p.m. The hitters will be signing autographs at Section 128 in the middle of the fourth inning.

 

NATIONAL KIDS DAY: As a part of National Kids Day, young fans will have the opportunity to engage in unique experiences throughout the stadium, such as throwing out the honorary first pitch, being a guest public address announcer for half an inning, visiting the TV and radio booths, assisting the grounds crew and participating in Billy's Routine. Participating kids will be chosen prior to the game.

 

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF MIAMI CHECK PRESENTATION: The Florida Marlins Community Foundation will present a check for $5,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami during a pregame ceremony. Boys and Girls Clubs of America are the official charity of Major League Baseball. The Florida Marlins works with Clubs in the tri-county area. Mike Lowell and Lenny Harris both attended the Boys and Girls Clubs in Miami as children and Dontrelle Willis appears in a national PSA about pitching as part of MLB's partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Representing the Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami will be Executive Director Alex Rodriguez-Roig and Board member Bertha Hamilton.

 

DOMINANDO CON LOS MARLNS: Fans can participate in a domino tournament presented by WQBA 1140 AM prior to all Sunday home games at the Gate H Bar, beginning when the gates open and lasting until 3:00 p.m.

 

SNAPSHOT SUNDAY: The first 100 fans to arrive at the stadium can have their photograph taken with a Marlins player and Billy the Marlin. Photo vouchers are handed out at the gates on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans are reminded to bring their own camera. Snapshot Sunday takes place at Section 130 and opens at 1:45 p.m.

 

BASEBALL BUDDIES: Every Sunday throughout the season, local little league teams in full uniform will have the opportunity to take the field for the National Anthem. This week's buddies will be the Marlins from Tamiami.

 

DIAMOND DASH: Following every Sunday home game, fans 12 and younger can run the bases.

 

PERFECT MOMENT DAY: Outside of Section 242, there will be a Perfect Moment Day spa area featuring complimentary five-minute massages during the game.

 

CLUBHOUSE KIDS: Back for the eighth season and sponsored by Don Carter's University Lanes, Clubhouse Kids is for kids 52" and shorter. This activity is at Section 138 at every Sunday home game. The action starts at 1:30 p.m. when the gates open and concludes at 2:15 p.m. Danielle Monday and Perry Gattegno will serve as the emcees for this activity. The 2003 "Top of the Class" Clubhouse Kids will watch the game along with their parents from a suite in honor of National Kids Day.

 

FAMILY FUNZONE: Fans can stop by the Radio Disney AM 990 Family Funzone at Section 130 for Disney fun at all Sunday home games during 2004.

 

RADIO STATIONS: Radio Disney AM 990 at Gate G West and Section 130, Amor 107 and WQBA 1140AM at Gate H and Gate H Bar, and 1400 The Fan at Gate B and a live broadcast on the Gate G East Stage.
