wow Houston's right there.... if they got hot they could be in contention too

The marlins have gone way too long without advancing in the standings... :thumbdown

Yea....We have been in the same spot already for quite a while.

Yea....We have been in the same spot already for quite a while.

Just look at the beginning of the thread. They started the month 6 games out, now they are 5 games out. They need to start picking up game at a clip more like a game a week, not a game a month.

We have yet to play SF and Chicago - so that is why we havent been advancing up the standings as much.

We still have to beat SD tonight to really make our case. This team has the ability to make a run and we havent really done it yet. We are starting to win more consistently and at this rate we will have a very good chance of being there in the end.

Well we have our chance to move up quicker since we're facing the Wild Card Leaders in the coming weeks. (Cubs, and Giants after the Padres)

522298

Yup.....and also when we are not playing the other they have to lose while we win whoever we are playing......Hopefully we can make it.

The Giants however are as hot as anyone, maybe even a little hotter. ::Still has nightmares of blowing a 8 run lead in SF::

Cubs have been 8-2 in their last 10 games, that can't last.

529843

Especially when they run into those Fighting Fish for the first time since Bartman and the meltdown.

The marlins have momentum and can get a good gain in the standings. The past few times, they've followed up a good couple games by loosing a few in a row. They can't do that this time.
