August 12, 200421 yr this is how bad this season is going. you at least win 2. i know what will happen tomorrow.... 6 runs we still lose. this is disgusting, this team has to grow up and stop waiting for a damn spark. 34 innings the marlins have only scored 2 runs. f***ING pathetic.
August 12, 200421 yr If this team were gasoline an oxy/acetalyne torch couldn't spark it. We have been dead since may.
August 12, 200421 yr it's time to fire bill robinson. 506764 it was time for that a month or two ago. i dont really see what's the use now that we're pretty much out of it.
August 12, 200421 yr you know what was a pretty telling stat? all these games Armando has been out? it actually hasn't even hurt the team, because they've NEVER EVEN NEEDED HIM. if you're never winning, not much need for your closer. :whistle
August 12, 200421 yr i agree with firing robinson...playoffs may be out of reach but finishing strongly may fire us up for next year...how sad we have to look to next year already
August 12, 200421 yr We should be renamed the flounders. Are we ever going to break 2 games above .500 again?
August 12, 200421 yr Lowell needs a night off. 506800 He needs to start using a lighter bat.....after he comes back from a few days rest.
August 12, 200421 yr Lowell needs a night off. 506800 How many more night off is he going to get. He had the night off on Saturday and Monday the whole was off.
August 12, 200421 yr When the o's had struggling pitcher, they fired their pitching coach, and the team has been outstanding lately. The Mets fired their hitting coach, and they were better, for a while. The marlins need to realize that if your team is sucking at hitting, it can't hurt to get a new hitting coach. :thumbdown
August 12, 200421 yr man this stinks... mathematically we're still in it though, that is worth something.. not much, but something... so u can't completely give up yet.
August 12, 200421 yr The only thing I say is ... I hope none of the Marlins Players are reading these boards :thumbdown
August 12, 200421 yr Have never been a fan of Bill Robinson (or Jeff Cox!) Suggested several times herein replacing them with Lenny Harris and Mike Mordecai. BUT, the dismal performance of our hitters cannot be blamed on the Hitting Coach. These are professional baseball players. 80% of what they need has been published and taught to them. They don't need to be coddled just because they are suddenly ignorant. The Hitting Coach should help when individuals are having problems. He shouldn't take all the blame for 8 starters hitting like Little Leaguers.
