It's not over...

Fish are just 5.5 games behind in the Wild Card race.

So why not???

It would be great to overcome Cubs in the very last game!!!

I BELIEVE IT and I am sure they will make it!!!

what they need is a run. if it takes a long time just to gain one step against the dreaded .500 (going 4-3 in 7 games for example) that's taking too long.

we need a quick 4 in a row. 7 out of 9, that kind of thing.

if the rotation can keep this up, there's always a shot...

The team has been playing alot better lately, but they still haven't shown the killer instinct. Since the 8-1 run to start the season, I believe we have exactly 2 winning streaks of 3 or more games. The good news? One of those was last week.

Let's rip off a ten gamer.

:thumbup Yeah with the pitching we've been getting we should be on a four game roll.

Man I am so excited, I leave tommarow morning Bright and early for Milwaukee, I really hope they win the 2 games while I am there. :thumbup

Theres always a chance if you win, I think 2.5-3.5 back of the wild card to start September would be ideal, and maybe only 1 or two teams in front of us

I agree. We are a long way away from being back in this thing, statistically, but the team has been playing much better. We held one of the best offenses in all of baseball - if not in baseball history - to just 5 runs in 3 games. They were lucky to win 2 of 3, plain and simple. But we matched the Cards game for game - and that is a very encouraging sign. We went 3-3 on this stand - and I expected that because to take 2 from the Cards was going to be very tough. The fact is, we just as easily could have taken 2 of 3 if we got the lucky bounce. But we played very well. I think the Marlins have to hold their heads high and realize that.

The levy is going to break. I think the Marlins are going to go on a winning streak and the Braves are going to start losing - they are getting way too many breaks right now.

This is our chance to gain some ground... Atlanta gets St Louis and we get Milwaukee. So ideally we would like the Cards to sweep Atlanta and us to sweep Milwaukee.

Pitching maybe, but certainly not the offense.

We need a Braves-esque run

Or a DevilRay-esque one.

12-game win streak anyone?

Well, other than yesterday, the offense has been pitiful lately.
