August 16, 200421 yr Since we're going after the Wild Card, we have to root for the Braves for the first time, to knock back the Padres.
August 16, 200421 yr It doesnt matter - we have to win either way. We really have to try and take the series against the Dodgers. Of course, a sweep would be most beneficial. But it is a win-win situation IF we win. If the Braves win, we stay on pace and dont lose ground in the NL East standings and gain ground in the WC standings. If Braves lose, then we gain ground in NL East standings and keep on the pace in the WC standings. We have to win either way. I dont think the Cubs, Pads, or Giants really have a complete enough team to run away with the WC. Philly is struggling and I dont sense much from that team. We are a very dangerous team that has underperformed for most of the year. If we play like we are capable, I dont see either race being out of reach.
August 16, 200421 yr I'm gonna root for the Marlins...if we keep winning, we'll win either the division or the wild card. It's just a matter of how much we have to win.
August 16, 200421 yr the way our luck has gone this year, the Braves will finally start losing vs. the Padres :confused
August 16, 200421 yr It'd be nice to catch San Diego, but if you remember how quickly Atlanta jumped out in front of us, you may be able to realize how quickly we could get in striking distance. The NL East isn't won yet.

August 16, 200421 yr if the marlins win, they either move up in the WC or in the NL east, but it would be better if SD lost tonight
