Nice to see the consistent line-up, particularly at the top.

Gonzalez is better suited to the 7th spot, but it doesn't look like Jack will put him ahead of Encarnacion.

if you think Encarnacion is struggling now, you wouldn't want to see what he'd be like at the 8th slot. with the pitcher behind him, he wouldn't see a single thing worth hitting, ever. at least with Alex and his power hitting behind him, he might on occasion see a fastball, which is the only pitch he can apparently hit.

Encarnacion has better plate discipline (albeit not that good) than Alex, so I wouldn't expect as much of a drop off as improvement with Alex.

Do you see more curveballs in the 8th slot or 7th forgot??

Typically, a hitter will see more curve balls in the 8th slot. A pitcher can afford to be a little more fine with his pitches since a walk rarely hurts in that situation.

Which is another good reason to put Encarnation in the 8th spot as he is a pretty good breaking ball hitter.

Encarnacion is suffering from a mild injury that is effecting his ability to hit the ball. I think it would be wise to play him sparingly and use Aguila in RF to spell him for now. Problem is, I dont know if he will get healthy. One thing is for sure, Enc is a gold-glove caliber RFer and whatever offense he can supply is a bonus at this point. AGon and Enc have to hit - not together, but at least one of them has to produce if the other cannot. Most of our production is going to have to come from 1-6 anyway and if we are going to have a chance to win, that is the way it will be.

Easely could play 1B if you want to give Enc the day off in RF. Slide Conine to LF and Cabs to RF. But our D suffers a lot in RF and 1B.

The Marlins gotta do one thing this off season.... SIGN PAVANO, he is turning into a sick pitcher....Marlins gotta make sure they wrap him up if at all possible everything else should take th backseat.

they also need to get a stadium to keep lowell, and sign loduca.

we are going to probably lose benitez unless we find some more money, as we need to resign our other key players. atleast we'll have mota to replace him.
