Fuc* You Umpires

Featured Replies

That was Jim Joyce's second blown call in this series. The guy is paid to be able to make the calls. The ball cleared the fence and bounced back onto the playing field. Now just how difficult is that to see when you're standing in left field?

ball went over the fence, and came back into the field...

ump thought it hit the top of the fence

what happened

ur always clueless...lol

mike hit a ball to left field, the ball bounced in the first row and back on to the playing field and the ump forgot his glasses so he thought that it didnt go over the fence so he screwed us over and called it a double

btw-8 game hitting streak for mike

:thumbup

That was such a load of crap. We should be leading 2-0, not 1-0... I hate Jim Joyce. Something really needs to be done, can umpires be sent down to the minors if they botch a number of calls?

When Mike gets back into the dugout/clubhouse and watches a replay and sees that it was clearly a home run, he's going to go ape s***.

It's so hard to handle a bad call like that when yor not doing so good. If Mike was doing great than he would be able to take it. But he hasnt been driving in a lot of runs and he should have got an rbi there...but he didn't.

btw: the ump looks scary in that picture

Joyce is the bastard who is always yelling "STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKKEE" when he is behind the plate. Why does he always have to call most of our games?

Pants I was out playing ball til the end of the 1st. When Joyce comes to Miami we oughtta give him an earful.

I sure hope they argued that call.

Nope, Mike didn't say anything to Jim Joyce and Jack didn't come out of the dugout to argue it either. Jeff Cox should have said something though, he was standing right there in the same place as Jim Joyce.

I sure hope they argued that call.

nope, maybe Cox and McKeon agreed it was a double from their vantagepoint

Well I dont think Jack had a good view of it from the dugout...but the ump had a good view of it...he just messed up the call.

Well you need to give umpires respect and if you just scream at them they wont listen. And a lot of times managers argue just to get their point across...they dont argue to try and change the call because they all now that 99 percent of the time they wont be able to change the call.

ive only seen a call been changed once live...that was in a game with the mets vs the marlins...the umpiring crew was young and didnt know all the rules and bobby proved them wrong.

Jack should have gone out to prompt the umpires to huddle. He didn't, and they didn't, so the call stayed the same.

Len said the umpires did confer between innings, and realized the mistake, so they could have done that at the time and got the call right.

Umps should have done it themselves. Both San diego parks have dugouts without good views of the field. PETCO may be a bit worse than Jack Murphy was.

These bastards won't change the call even if you argue. They only get more stubborn.

Why doesn't the MLB get replays to challenge the play or something, because so many people get robbed from hits these days cause of bad mistakes by the umpires! :thumbdown

Jack should have for sure said atleast something to the ump...but hopefully we will win the game anyways.
