Posted September 8, 200420 yr and if you choose other please state who. i pick bill kamal because he tells it like it is or his own opinion and explain things very carefully to the nonweatherbuff audience. he doesn't tip toe around the facts. he was very good during frances. even though norcross is also very good he looks uncomfortable sometimes. john morales of channel 51 is like the spanish version of bill kamal. even though the rest are also pretty good, i didn't put channel 23 because they have no real good meteorologists after john morales left.
September 8, 200420 yr I chose Bryan Norcross since he is the one I watched for most of Frances. I also like John Morales and Bill Kamal.
September 8, 200420 yr My choice during a storm is Roland Steadham because of the technology he has and his clear communication abilities, but his accuracy isn't great because he uses NWS forecasts a bit more than I would like. I watched him the most during Frances.
September 8, 200420 yr Bryan Norcross is my boy. Bill Kamal is alright, but after his DUI troubles, I'll never look at him the same way. Norcross knows what he's saying and delivers an easy to understand broadcast.

Someone tell me the story!!! *turns thread into an internet version of celebrity gossip shows* 547369 He got pulled over more drunk than homer simpson.
September 8, 200420 yr Friday, March 12, 1993: Weatherman Bill Kamal is fired. He had been working without a contract since summer 1992. apparently kamal worked at channel 9 in washington dc until he was fired.
September 8, 200420 yr Channel 7 weather reporter arrested on DUI charge by Jasmine Kripalani Link to Article Bill Kamal, WSVN-Channel 7's chief meteorologist, was arrested over the weekend on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Fort Lauderdale Police say they saw Kamal driving his black Jaguar northbound on Seabreeze Boulevard at around 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning. After stopping the car at a green light, Kamal drove 10 miles below the posted 35 mph speed limit, and swerved through the street, according to a BSO report. Police stopped Kamal, and contacted BSO. At around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Kamal took three roadside tests and failed them. In the final one, he ''missed the tip of his nose on 5 of 6 attempts,'' BSO deputy Craig Buttery wrote in his report. Kamal, 46, who was stopped at 850 Seabreeze Blvd., asked Buttery if he should have a lawyer present. Buttery told him roadside tests are voluntary, but that his refusal would be used as evidence against him. Kamal also agreed to a breath test, which revealed a .153 and .159 blood-alcohol level, well above the .08 legal limit. He was arrested at 1:30 a.m. and posted a $500 bond at 9:30 a.m., said Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright. Three years ago, Kamal faced similar DUI charges when a Florida Highway Patrol trooper found Kamal's silver '98 Chevy Corvette against a concrete barrier wall in the westbound lane of I-595 near U.S. 1. Those charges were reduced to reckless driving. ''For the record, last time it was a wrongful arrest and he was shown not to be guilty,'' said Guillermo Pena, an attorney who has represented Kamal in his 2000 DUI arrest. ``This time again it will show this was another wrongful arrest.'' It was unclear Monday afternoon how Kamal's arrest would affect his job. ''It is our policy not to comment on personnel matters,'' said Charlie Folds, spokesman for WSVN-Channel 7.
September 8, 200420 yr Whats going on with our weathermen?!?! At least we still have Jackie! 547407 WTF? Jackie Johnson left a long ass time ago, I thought.
September 8, 200420 yr I voted for John Morales. That guy is a wealth of information, tell it how it is and it never goes into panic mode. However, he is always reminding you what you need to do at certain times. In addition, he is a HUGE Marlins fans and shows up at PPS for many games. I will have to introduce myself when I see him at the games and congratulate him for his great work.
September 8, 200420 yr Other interests include scuba diving and spending time with his wife and six children. At least we know that Steadham isn't gay. He has a huge family! Typical Cuban-American :shifty http://www.nbc6.net/nbc6team/1231535/detail.html

September 8, 200420 yr To let everyone know, I deleted some inappropriate posts concerning the sexual orientation of Bryan "Feathers" Norcross and Bill "Pirate" Kamal. Some are working to confirm it with the stations. Several message boards around the internet say they are gay, but they aren't reliable sources and we don't want Admin to get sued unless confirmed.
September 8, 200420 yr I am glad to see Morales on T51 get so much support. His move to T51 and NBC's buying of Telemundo has made him the spanish weatherman in Miami.
September 8, 200420 yr Whats going on with our weathermen?!?! At least we still have Jackie! 547407 Jackie Johnson left a while ago. And was replaced with "Elita Loresca." On topic, Channel 7 has teh best news team of all time. Bill Kamal >>> all.
September 8, 200420 yr Don Noe is the best. Bryan Norcross is also very good. Only two that I think are quite smart about weather in the meteorologists down here.

On topic, Channel 7 has teh best news team of all time. Bill Kamal >>> all. 547548 word! bill kamal HAS to be the best for me...7 news is the best news station out there in my opinion
September 9, 200420 yr channel 7 in my opinion is horrible overall. just the fact that they have a sports agent on their sunday night sports show giving "insight" is sleezy and they do so much bulls*** news like one time they did an entire 10 minute segment on Jennifer Lopez's mom winning some money at a slot machine. ive heard from a lot of people that channel 7 is probably the best place to go to start in the news buisness and that its almost an amateur entertainment news station. the fact that belkys nery is an anchor there says it all. just my opinion.
