September 26, 200420 yr There is no chance you realistically don't earn your .400 batting average. You could sit around, be 3 feet tall, and have a .500 OBP because no one can pitch to you.
September 26, 200420 yr Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, other high OBP guys > Ichiro. 573341[/snapback] o yea, Giambi sure has been better than Ichiro

September 26, 200420 yr lol i agree that bonds is better than ichiro, but not many others have been better than ichiro this year, maybe not even anyone human
September 26, 200420 yr Ichiro is a singles hitter playing at a premium power position. He better damn well be batting .400 to make up the difference.
September 26, 200420 yr Going 2-5 everyday seems pretty tough to me. Going 2-4 or 0-2 2BB doesn't seem quite as difficult.
September 26, 200420 yr I don't think so. When I played I had a hard time laing off borderline pitches. I would want to be the one who won the game and would swing at bad pitches. I think major leaguers, being the best players on the little league, high school, american legion, college, minors and so on, would have that same mentality.
