April 13, 200521 yr I think this topic might have been much better for the bullpen. Wildcard is right in the lack of logic in believing in God, especially an organized religion God. If God exists, he requires faith and not proof. But then cant anything exist under the rubric of faith?? And the deal with porn is that you cant really stop it. Its a multibillion dollar industry for a reason and it isnt isolated to the immoral. Sex has become part of our culture despite how much the religious right fights it. You have to balance the social effect it has(forced prostitution, deprivation, family loss) with an individuals right to do what they want. I tend to lean toward the latter.
April 14, 200521 yr mullusk is right about faith, in wildcards case, you said that you tried and nothing happend when something bad happend. and about wasting time, going to church, no one says you have to go to church to believe in god, or believe in the pope or do whatever orgazational things religions do. if you believe in god, thats good enough for him, thats what i was taught and thats what i believe, you try and live a moral life. the thing with faith is is that no one has to have proof, cause they believe, and there are plenty and plenty of people with 'NDE's' (near death experiences) which is really cool to listen to people that had them, they go through a tunnel and then all this cool stuff..something interesting to look up if you're wondering wildcard.... porn, touchy subject, no pun intended but...some cultures glorify their bodies, others such as the united states look hastefully upon it. as long as its not illegal i don't think there should be any regulations on it, aside from the age limit.
April 14, 200521 yr As long as photos like those from Vida's hacked T-Mobile show up every once in a while and give me a reason to care, I say keep Porno alive!
April 14, 200521 yr we are ultra ultra conservative in this country in relation to sexuality. /newsflash
