October 3, 200422 yr 2005 schedule highlights: The Marlins are expected to announce their 2005 schedule within a few days. While some details are being worked out, some dates are already set. The Marlins will open at home against the Braves on April 4. The rest of the first homestand will include the new Washington, D.C., franchise (April 8-10). The Phillies will be in town on April 11-13. An Interleague highlight will be June 7-9, when the Mariners face the Marlins for the first time. Florida fans will get to see the great Ichiro, who has just set the Major League record for hits in a season. From July 8-10, the Cubs will make an appearance in South Florida. Craig reported it during the game about 30 minutes ago.
