2005 schedule highlights: The Marlins are expected to announce their 2005 schedule within a few days.

While some details are being worked out, some dates are already set.

The Marlins will open at home against the Braves on April 4. The rest of the first homestand will include the new Washington, D.C., franchise (April 8-10). The Phillies will be in town on April 11-13.

An Interleague highlight will be June 7-9, when the Mariners face the Marlins for the first time. Florida fans will get to see the great Ichiro, who has just set the Major League record for hits in a season.

From July 8-10, the Cubs will make an appearance in South Florida. The Marlins have an Aug. 16-31 homestand that includes the Padres, Dodgers and Cardinals.

Nice way to get the season going.....starting off with a 2 game sweep of the Bravos.

I just want to see us get our stadium lined up first...

Where did you see this? Not a big deal, but those dates cant be right-the Expos dates are Thurs-Saturday, and the Phillies as Sunday-Tuesday. And Ive never seen a two game series to start the seaon, so Im just wondering where this is from.

They said it during the game today. Its not a 2 game series to start the season, it's a 3 gamer with a day off in between.

It's actually a 3 game series with the Braves, I accidentally left off the 3rd date of the Braves game and just edited it so all the days should correspond correctly now. Craig reported it during the game about 30 minutes ago.

Stupid MLB. Why have an off-day two days out of spring training? Save that off-day for August and September.

Woulda been nice to get schedule magnets on the last series of the year like we usually do, though it is understandable :confused

They should have more days off in August and September just incase a hurricane comes!

Probably one or two of these teams: Texas, Oakland, or the Angels.

Well hopefully not texas because we have played them two years in a row.

I think it's texas

Let's hope we don't end with 10 games on the road.

Hopefully, the o's will finally play the marlins again. :D

Im pretty sure the Marlins play Tampa, Texas and Seattle at home, Oakland and Anaheim on the road.

I'd really like to go to Anaheim to see that series. :cool
