Prediction Time

Time to make some bold predictions!

Of the four players (Pavano, Benitez, Lo Duca, Lowell) who have uncertainty ahead of them this offseason, where do you see them going. Not what do you want to happen, what do you think is going to happen.

For me:

Pavano gets offered arbitration, signs a 3 year deal with the Red Sox for $33 million after he plays the Yankee card during negotiations.

Benitez stays after fielding offers from the Cubs and Giants, signing a one year deal with a mutual option on the second year.

Lo Duca gets tendered a contract, but we work out a 3 year extension before going to arbitration.

Lowell seriously considers opting out, but his agent advises him against doing so and he stays for at least next year.

Pavano: Winds up in Chi-Town, Pavano, Wood, Prior... ouch... they want that curse over.

Armando: Takes less money then you would expect him to but stays a Marlin. The Marlins have a weakness with late inning pitching, so why let the best one you have get away?

Lo Duca: Will stay someway some how. He seems like a team player so he might take a little less to stay as long as he gets a few years and probably a no-trade clause, but not much.

Lowell will run out of here, either a Yankee, a Cub (the Cubs have a fetish for ex marlin players) or possibly a Giant.

Under that senario, the yankees get pedro, because redsox are going to throw money at pedro, lowe and pavano?

Stadium deal blows up in December. Lowell leaves in January. McKeon leaves in February. Mordecai becomes Mgr after Hill shoots Cox on behalf of Team.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

Michael Tejera comes back as GM and trades for OMGNunez siting the fact that his nickname is the best on the team.....Tejera continues to sign all of our FA's and gets Magglio Ordonez......Later we find out Michael Tejera was just Fidel Castro in disguise and the Marlins become Cuba's team.....

I say the biggest news of the offseason is when some janitor walks in on Billy The Marlin and the beloved dolphins mascot TD having man sex in the utlity closet...... and they do a story about it on ET or something like that.

^^^ not cool. not cool at all.

Pavano, Benitez, LoDuca re-signed. Lowell comes back. Sosa, Pedro, Roberto Hernandez and Mike Jackson signed. Ticket prices lowered. Marlin stay near Broward. Another World Series championship.

You need to be more realistic in yours...plus I don't want Hernandez or Mike Jackson...their both old and s***ty.

I think we should go after El Duque.

:glare : i like it!!

Staying:

Pavano- Pavano is too good of a pitcher to let go of. Pitching as been our halmark. However I want to see somebody that can tell Beckett and AJ to leave their egos at home.

Benitez: This is a hard one but I think he is staying. If Spooney, Mota, Fox and Benitez come back, our bullpen will be unstoppable.

LoDuca: He is a good catcher and puts up average numbers.

Leaving:

Lowell: Probably what is holding us back from keeping him is his price tag and he seems to tire out in the second half.

I'd hate to see Lowell go because he plays such an important role in the clubhouse and is a great defensive third baseman. If a good and cheap catcher comes along, I will take him for LoDuca.

staying:

Benitez

Lowell

leaving:

Pavano to the phills

LoDuca to one of the chicago teams

Pavano is not going to the Phillies...they don't spend money.

I predict Pavano is leaving the Marlins for another team.

Lowell will stay in Florida, for at least a year.

LoDuca will also stay, and be back with better numbers.

Benitez will also stay, and beat his 04 record of saves.

Benitez

they wont have the contract of Millwood and Polanco is leaving so they will have some money and will need a bonafide starter to replace Millwood and lead the staff

I have a weird feeling that if he is to leave he will go to the Phills

Lowell - Hello Baltimore.

Pavano - George pays what it takes. Carl heads to New York.

Benitez - He stays..we have the Benitez, Mota, Fox and Spooney pen.

LoDuca - He signs a 2-3 years deal.

Easley re-signed and gets a shot at 3B. Not impossible that Aguila, Willingham or one of the more prized prospects gets a shot in RF and Cabs moves to 3B.

why in the world would lowell go to the yankees or cubs? they have Awsome 3rd basemen....i think theyre names are Alex something and Aramis something or another...

Well, the Yanks would move A-Rod back to SS and Jeter to 2B...
