October 24, 200521 yr Just for you Goocher http://www.marlinbaseball.com/forums/index...topic=34491&hl= And while I'm digging up old threads, how about this one. http://www.marlinbaseball.com/forums/index...pic=41991&st=50 Paging Phlub
October 24, 200521 yr C'mon dude, be realistic. I'm sure people could go digging stuff up on how you were wrong on a subject, but I guess that some people don't have such an internet ego. Hell, I'm wrong quite a bit...what's the use discussing sports if you discuss things that are 100% correct all the time.
October 24, 200521 yr I'm not doing it to show people up, it's just fun to look back at older threads. Believe it or not I actually did bump this thread with the best of intentions, trying to spark the Eli vs Ben vs Rivers debate a year later. That and I'm still a little hyped up from the game today.
October 24, 200521 yr Eli did suck the big one last year. So he's finally living up to expectations...big deal. Big Ben would whoop his puny little ass any day in a street fight, and to me that's all that really counts.

October 26, 200521 yr Author I wouldn't trade Palmer for him. But he's great at what he does. exactly. Can't say I wouldn't want Palmer on Pitt, but at this time we don't need him. I suffered long wanting an elite QB, and then realized it wasn't what we needed. To have a smart guy like Ben that has the talent to throw the long ball and not make many crucial mistakes is the best for this franchise. Just to have a passer like Maddox sucks. Look at the game he had the week Roth was out. :thumbdown Not to mention the 6-10 season he had as a starter.
October 27, 200521 yr To be fair to Maddox, he had a damn good season a few years ago when he led the Steelers to the playoffs and they lost to the Titans in Tennessee (with a bogus roughing the kicker call playing a major part) in a game where he was nearly paralyzed.
