Cashman...although none of it is his fault.

Steinbrenner should have never thrown all that money at Brown and Vasquez. That and Tanyan Sturtze is in the Yankees bullpen. Enough said.

Gone:

Kevin Brown

Javier Vazquez

Tony Clark

Orlando Hernandez (no idea why he didn't pitch Game 7)

The whole pen besides (Sturtze, Gordon and Rivera)

Maybe:

Cashman

M. Cairo

Ruben Sierra

P. Quantrill

Man the Yanks rotation is such a mess. They all weren't worth half their contracts with the exception of El Duque and Lieber. Where would they move these guys and their contracts to? They'll get Beltran, Delgado and possibly Percival. Gordon can't handle the pressure, they need to find a more reliable set-up man for the postseason. What's the status on Giambi coming back and being anything close to what he once was? Sierra has to stay, he's making peanuts and is a pretty clutch guy, very inexpensive .

Cashman will probably get fired but will be replaced by someone who is just like him. George just wants someone he can treat like a pawn and Cashman is just that and his successor will be just that. He'll only get fired just to 'shake' things up.

The Yanks really need a legit front of the line starter like Randy Johnson, that will definitely take them the extra mile.

I'm hearing rumors that ARod may be dealt, presumably for very good young pitching.

Sounds like a fantasy trade, but I think that the Yanks would (right now) have a hard time passing up ARod for someone like Prior Beckett Wood or Schmidt.

About 1% likely to happen, but they are the Yankees.

Well one of the luxuries of having that cash flow is that they could probably chop ARod's contract in half and trade him, they might be able to do the same for Brown, or Vazquez.

A reduced priced Vazquez would make any team's GM mouth water. I honestly think some players aren't meant to play on the big stage and Javy is one of them.

Mel Stottlemeyer

Kevin Brown and Javier Vasquez will be gone for sure. Tom Gordon will probably join them out the door, and I wouldn't be shocked if they axed pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre just for the heck of it.

I think Gordon is staying. They owe him money an he was overused all year. What he needs is more help so he doesn't have to play every other game.

Hey, if Mel Stottlemeyer is going, maybe the marlins can get him. He is a good pitching coach, or atleast he's VERY expirienced.

Gone: Brown, Rivera, Loaiza, Giambi

In: Beltran, Delgado, Pedro*

that A-Rod thingsounds interesting, i'd do it in a second, especially if you're gonna get Beltran to replace him

I'm pretty sure whenever Stottlemeyer finishes with Yanks, he's gonna retire.

any GM that trades very good young pitching for A-rod should be fired on the spot.

Steinbrenner apparently has already met with Cashman and told him his job is safe ... for now.

The decision could be revisited during their winter organizational meeting.

I think Torre is going to bite the bullett on this one. He's got to be tired of George, but he'll say he wants to spend more time with his family. The Yanks want to keep Randolph and this may be the only way they can.
