Pitt in the Fiesta or Sugar Bowl?

Featured Replies

I want USF to win this week so it is the Orange in the Fiesta against colorado who I want to beat OU. Because if you have a colorado/syracuse game they have to get rid of the bcs.

Yeah, they do. They have to be ranked higher than 'Cuse, BC and WV to earn the Big East's berth.

The same team that nearly lost to Furman is playing in the Orange Bowl. The Orange Bowl weeps.

:plain

Furman is a good team, don't forget :thumbup

They're not even D1A. I know they're a fantastic D1AA team.

Hey idiot,

If Pitt loses, they would be 7 - 4. 'Cuse finished the season at 6 - 5. PWNED?

But of those wins would be against Furman, which does not count in the BCS making them 6-4 if they lose. They also lost to the Cuse head to head. Plus S. Fla is not a good team to lose to, they stink. The Cuse also had the better schedule for the year, playing Purdue, FSU, and Virginia. Pitt played Nebraska, ND, and Ohio. I think Purdue, FSU and Virgina > Nebraska ND and Ohio. So playing Furman might hurt Pitt. I wouldn't say Pitt is a shoe in if they lost if I were you.

And I wouldn't knock the Cuse to much, Pitt did lose to them. Either way the Big East winner will play in the Fiesta against Utah, and even though I think Utah isn't as good as the elite teams, the Big East winner is far from elite.

Furman is the best team in South Carolina...

Still doesn't matter to the computer, if you aren't I-A your game is not computed.

Pitt is only a 7 point favorite on the early lines out of Vegas against USF :lol

Does Vegas smell an upset?

God, the Big East is so pitiful.

Hopefully Lousiville will break it into shape.

Looks like Pittsburgh has all but wrapped up a berth to the Fiesta Bowl. No way Syracuse can make up the difference in the polls without a 70-7 by South Florida.

Louisville in the NBE = North Texas in the Sun Belt

Actually, Syracuse is quite in this and can make up the difference because a Pitt loss to USF combined with their pitiful performance against Furman equals my Orange in the Fiesta Bowl....Remember head to head is also gonna count and give Cuse a lot of points.

Yeah, and like USF (one of the worst teams in Div. 1a) is going to beat Pitt.
