July 8, 200323 yr Beckett sure didn't look like last start. The wierd thing was that as bad as Beckett pitched, if he'd gotten Clement out there the game would've still been tied. Oh well, hopefully the D-Train can get them back on track tomorrow.

Beckett's Garbage pitching and INT walking to the 8th hitter Bako who is hitting 194 with 2 OUT UNACCEPTABLE than giveing Cracker Jack a great pitch to hit EVEN WORSE..... Than Letting goodwin who is a STIFF to get on base 4 times UNACEPTABLE... the thing that kills me the most is We Dominated SOsa and alu its the other guys who got the 6 runs..... Ill Admit Beckett Stunk tonight and thats cool its bound to happen i dnt Xpect Pedro like consistancy from him..... but that hard was i just didnt think i saw anything from the fish offense the CUB pen came in and just shited on us... and nobody was getting a hit... 3 runs 5 hits thats just not gonna win u games..... Hope the Offense does better in a Hitters Park tomorrow..... GO FISH..... GOOD NEWS Phils lost, LA is losing dunno bout D>backs...
July 8, 200323 yr I have a feeling that eight hours on the tarmac in Philly didn't help tonight's effort either. what the heck happened? was there a storm or something? or did the plane just go kaput? 8 hours? my god. The Phils looked like garbage tonight vs the Spos, so both teams were probably affected by this.
July 8, 200323 yr Do you believe how slow the grass is at Wrigley? Wow!!!!! When Cabs went after that first inning hit, and it died in the grass in front of him I just stood there in disbelief. To Cabs credit he didn't make that mistake again. Another great assist by him too. What a great arm.

July 8, 200323 yr man i think the play the game here was the INT walk to Bako.. i mean beckett went after SHEFF and Jone's and and SOSA and Moises but INT Walking Bako and not going after him.. is what cost us this game... now Booge said he doesnt know if Jack did that or if Beckett did that... but thats a Bad move on who eva's part..... Bako is a Easy out just Pat Burell... so is clement but Clement would have neva came to bat if Bako was taken care of... a man batting 194 the odds are very good that you can get him out... i wanna see the reasoning on that Play...... cuz cleary thats the Play the game
July 8, 200323 yr Cubs hit the ball hard today in the first few innings..everything else was soft...and the deciding runs were driven in by the pitcher. The rabbits wont go 0-7 again...without them our run producers can only hit solo homers.

July 8, 200323 yr It was the right call and the only reason some of you are second guessing is because clement barely got the bat out there and booted it to right. He may have been hitting .240 on the season, but thats in 25AB's and his career avg is below .100 Bako is a ML hitter and is far better with the bat then Clement. You have to chalk it up to luck and leave it at that. :plain
