December 12, 200421 yr Difference between Parcells and Coughlin. Warner should have started the last 2 games.
December 12, 200421 yr Gotta love that pre-season New York hype on Eli. Kid has landed with a THUD. Giants might have been looking at a #6 seed with Warner, but now they can expect to work their way up the draft list. Still, this isn't the worst thing for the franchise. At least Eli gets some experience. I mean they weren't really going anywhere this year.
December 12, 200421 yr Author Injuries have killed them but they should have continued to start Warner. With as bad as the 6th seed is going to be , they had a shot to be in the playoffs with Warner starting. Eli is just awful.
December 12, 200421 yr The Giants didnt have a chance with Warner he lost 3 in a row before they benched him and they were to three sorry ass teams, Eli hasnt lived up to the hype, but he is young, give him a chance, there is no question about it though BigBen>Eli
December 12, 200421 yr Author Yes but Warner also won 5 games back there. How many has Eli won? It was a STUPID decision to bench him. I bet it was a management decision not a Coughlin decision. If the Lions, Bears, Panthers, Bucs, etc have a chance at the playoffs, so do the Giants (with Warner).
December 12, 200421 yr Manning went 4-for-18 for 27 yards and two interceptions -- a 0.0 quarterback rating Now that is hillarious.

December 12, 200421 yr Only reason he was even drafted in the 1st round is his last name..... 633417[/snapback] of course not!

December 13, 200421 yr I don't have a problem with Eli starting. The team was decimated, they had lost 3 games in a row, and they have a rookie that they are paying crazy money to. The season was essentially over at that point anyway, so why not start your rookie to help you out next season? Not only does it give you a better draft pick, it gives your future franchise QB an opportunity to learn when it doesn't really matter. I'm telling you, our O-line is the worst. With Strahan gone for the season, our D-line applies about as much pressure as a bag of feathers. Did you see the way the Ravens' O-line man-handled them yesterday? Geez - I saw three times when every last D-lineman was pushed right to the ground on run plays. I'll give Eli until the end of next season before I'm ready to pass judgement. PS Ready to draft some linemen, front office??
