Stu Scott's eyes

Featured Replies

ESPN needs to get the brutha off the TV cause his eyes are gettin' to be waaaaaay too distracting. I'm no hater, but the guy's eyes are way too off and its just bugging me at this point.

I have no clue. He's always been a bit crosseyed in his right eye. But as time has gone on it looks like he is always squinting with his left eye, so it just looks... bad. I don't know if he might be partially blind in the left eye or what, but he is just always squinting with that eye half closed and when he looks right into the camera I get distracted. Not cool.

I heard he got hit in the eye with a football while doing a piece for redskins training camp.

ESPN sportscaster, Stuart Scott, nearly lost his left eye when he was working out with the New York Jets. Scott, a former semi-pro player doesn't remember what happened exactly but the football that struck him split his cornea and lens. This injury was especially scary, as years earlier, Scott had sustained a detached retina in his right eye and counted on the 20/20 vision in his left eye to see well.

He was catching balls out of one of those machines and missed one and it caught him in the eye. :thumbdown

I feel bad for him, but maybe a radio job would be better suited for him. Or wear sunglasses.... or a really shiny gold chain to take attention away from bug-eyed-ness. He has to know it is distracting. Now I am wondering how he reads the teleprompter if he was relying on his left eye before taking a ball to it.

I meant to post a topic on this the other day. Seriously I personally like the guy. But his eyes are so distracting. Somehow they are getting worse and worse. I'ts awful

ESPN should be inventive and make him a commentator for some sport, something that doesn't have him on the screen 45 minutes during an hour. He is good at what he does, its just bothersome. He just needs to make sure never to give a commencemnt speech again. You can google up a commencent speech he gave at UNC a few years ago.... very... very weak.
