Garciaparra was ousted from Boston without so much as a goodbye when baseless remarks started floating in the newspaper a year ago that he would like to be traded to a team in So Cal, a claim he vehemently denied. You don't think that the Red Sox front office abused the media thrashings of Ramirez and his subsequent low public approval when they put him on waivers?
