Scott Williamson and Chris Hammond

Featured Replies

Looking throught the free agent list, and Hammond and Williamson are still out there??? Why hasnt anybody signed these guys theyre studs. I know williamson was hurt, but hes a great reliever and is very versital. And Hammond anytime you have a lefty with that ERA theyre usually signed early.

I believe Williamson is not expected to play next season due to injury.

I thinK Jeff Zimmerman is also not playing next year because of injury as well.. i know this has nothing to do with anything but I always got those 2 guys mixed up.

Both are lefties and either would solidify our bullpen nicely. i am pretty sure they both are healthy.

Williamson is neither left-handed or healthy.

Scott Williamson - Relief Pitcher

Red Sox declined to offer arbitration to RHP Scott Williamson, RHP Terry Adams, RHP Curtis Leskanic, RHP Ramiro Mendoza, INF Ricky Gutierrez and DH Ellis Burks.

Burks has retired and Leskanic might. Williamson is likely to miss most of 2005 following Tommy John surgery, so he could be looking at an incentive-laden one-year deal with an option for 2006.
