Has anyone yet seen the small pic of a ballpark next to a comment about the Marlins new ballpark on page 24??? Did the magazine just make up how it could look like? Or do you think the magazine got a true peek at how the Marlins ballpark will look like?

I saw the pic also, but it was too small to see many details. Seems like a big step from most ballparks of today, but he idea of the white sails is awesome though. Cant wait to see what the final design will be!

That is not the correct pic. I believe that is the pic for the new NY stadium. The marlins ballpark pic is the second pic on page 24.

Someone needs to post this pic fast. I'm surprised CapeFish wasn't all over this story.

I lost phone service for a while yesterday as we did maintenance on the lines. Didn't get reconnected until this afternoon.

Go ahead. It will be interesting to see the latest from the architects if this indeed is from them. I was told it was an interesting design, one that would fit the Marlins and Miami well. We shall see soon enough, but this would be a nice sneak peak at a more final version.

Got the copy of the magazine. The picture is not that big, but it's not a model of the whole park itself but the structure that holds the roof up and the roof itself. It is awesome! Like someone said earlier in the thread, it resembles sails. It is a complete 180 from the roofs around MLB maybe the world. When open (as in the picture) this thing will be an artistic masterpiece.

I will try to scan or draw it on MS paint and try to get a pic up as soon as possible.

The article feature the new Arizona Cardinals stadium, but this mention of the Marlins Ballpark was made.

Thanks Cape, I wasn't gonna be able to scan it. (computer problems)

Well anyways that pic is actually bigger than the one in the magazine. The roof really impresses me. I kept thinking of what it reminded me of, then I finally figured it out. It somewhat resembles the Sydney Opera House.

I had the scanner enlarge that small picture, but I am blind so I can't make much out. Feel free to pick at it and post what you see.

This ballpark is getting alot of bells and whistles. Why do this if you are having "funding problems?"

Yeah, an a/c system that recycles water! :lol

I am I only one that only sees the roof structure?

I see it, it looks like when it folds out it is symmetrical.

It's taken them a while to publish any renderings, I guarantee this photo was probably leaked.

hmm....likely.

Leaked from HOK it seems.

HOK is working on the Arizona Cardinals Stadium, Wembley Stadium in London, the Marlins Ballpark, and the Jets Stadium in New York is being worked on by some former HOK guys.

The roof looks damn cool. I hope this freaking thing happens.
