January 6, 200521 yr Manzy signed a minor league deal worth 350k with another 50k in incentives with the Sox and has an invite to ST. One player the Marlins did not attempt to re-sign this winter, flamboyant reliever Josias Manzanillo, who has been invited to spring training by the world champion Boston Red Sox, said his agent, Scott Shapiro. Manzillo went 3-3 with a 6.12 ERA in 26 games with Florida last summer. Manzanillo was originally signed by Boston in 1983 and spent nine years in the club's minor leagues but appeared in just one game with the Red Sox. His 2005 contract is a minor-league deal that would pay him $350,000, plus a possible $50,000 in incentives if he makes the big-league club. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sport...ll/10575310.htm
