Furcal has just as much upside as Teixera, just a different type. Also Delgado would make up for the power lost by Teixera.

If you trade Teixeira to get back Furcal and make way for Delgado I don't see how that would be moronic. Furcal will push a 300 average and 350 OBP and 30 sb a year. He would be playing 2b for Texas and in 255 innings at second base in his career he has had 1 error. I don't think I need to go into Delgado's numbers.

 

 

Furcal gives Texas something they need, a top of the line table setter who has speed. Delgado would pick up the power that Teixeira leaves, plus Texas has other young offense to look forward too its not like they were only scoring 3 runs a game last year.

I don't see it working out for Texas.. if one trade doesn't work out, none of them do.

 

If I was a Texas fan and I knew all of that would be done.. I'd be happy with an infield of Blalock, Furcal, Young and Delgado then Backe added to the staff.

 

But I just don't see all of that transpiring.
