MIAMI -- It's not exactly a rematch of the 2003 World Series, but the Marlins and Yankees will compete again in a Spring Training game.

The Marlins added the split-squad game to be played at 1:15 p.m. ET on March 15 at Legends Field in Tampa. The other split-squad game remains the same, with the Twins visiting Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter for a 1:05 p.m. ET contest.

Along with scheduling the Yankees, the Marlins added two additional games with the Dodgers. The Marlins will play the Dodgers at 1:05 p.m. on March 2 in Vero Beach and at 7:05 p.m. on March 7 in Jupiter.

Florida now has 33 Grapefruit League games, including 16 at home. The Marlins also have exhibitions slated with the University of Miami on March 1 at Roger Dean Stadium and on April 3 against the Class A Greensboro Grasshoppers in Greensboro, N.C.

In the 2003 World Series, the Marlins beat the Yankees in six games. March 15 will mark the first time the teams have played since Game 6 at Yankee Stadium.

Originally not scheduled to play on March 15, the Yankees will now host 16 home games at Legends Field. The Yankees also agreed to play the Marlins at Roger Dean Stadium in 2006.

Earlier, the Yankees canceled their exhibition game with the Tigers on Saturday, April 2, at Legends Field. The cancellation became necessary when the Yankees were scheduled to open the 2005 regular season on Sunday, April 3, against the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium.

Wish they would have scheduled a complementary game with the Yankees at Roger Dean.

But also nice to see the additional evening game during the week.

Reserve 3 first row seats in 2006 for me

hmm...maybe I will make the trip up to Tampa for this. Maybe not :lol Yankees fans are too much to handle. I would like to make a trip to Roger Dean for a game during the day.

Palm Beach Blvd. to I-95 and then north to the exit.

The Marlins will play the Dodgers at 1:05 p.m. on March 2 in Vero Beach

Hey, that's my birthday. Hopefully I can go to that one, it would be a nice birthday present.

It's a spring training split squad game. Hardly even close to a real game. I wouldn't waste my time.

Especially when the Yanks' farm system sucks big time. They traded their last good prospects for Randy Johnson, and even they weren't very highly rated when compared to other teams' players.

pretty cool. cant wait to see a Marlins game again.
