January 19, 200521 yr Since our arbitration eligible players have been signed, what is our current 25-man payroll figure? What would it be with Delgado?
January 19, 200521 yr Author it is at 60 million 659823 I highly doubt that. Can someone give us a payroll with the actual player salaries listed to back it up?

Can someone give us a payroll with the actual player salaries listed to back it up? 659835 Why do you doubt it? Sounds about right to me. With Delgado, our payroll will hit 70+. That's right around average, right (or a little under)?
January 19, 200521 yr Author 659837 It just doesn't sound right compared to the numbers I've heard thrown around prior to the completion of arbi.
January 19, 200521 yr According to the herald its at 60 flat. Lets assume we do sign delgado and it goes to 74. Then for the 2006 season with hampton and pudge off the books we'll be able to offer a nice contract to burnett if he plays well this year and also sign new starters to compensate for leiter leaving ans valdez leaving
January 19, 200521 yr it wont be at 74 if we sign Delgado remeber the salaray is deffered so he'll probably get like 6-8 million this year so it will be at around 68 million. So we would be under the 70 million mark that Loria didnt want to surpass.

And where are you guys getting $14 Million next season anyway? The only deal we know of is 3-years $35 Million, and that would probably be about $10 Million next season, $12 Mill in 2006 and $13 Mill in 2007.
January 19, 200521 yr either way itd be nice to get delgado and trade encarnacion lol 659932 it would be nice to trade Enc even if we dont get Delgado
January 19, 200521 yr Here's what it is off the top of my head: C-Lo Duca $6 million 1B-Conine $4.75 million 2B- Castillo $5 million 3B- Lowell $8 million SS- Gonzalez $3.4 million LF- Cabrera $.45 million (?) CF- Pierre $3.4 million RF- Encarnacion $4.5 million $35.5 on the starting 9 SP- Beckett $2.4 million SP- Burnett $3.65 million SP- Leiter $7 million ($2 million this season) SP- Willis $.45 million (?) SP- Valdez $.75 million ($1.25 million deferred) CL- Mota $2.6 million RP- Spooneybarger $.35 million RP- Riedling $.75 million RP- Alfonseca $.3 million (but potentially $2 million) RP- Jones $1.1 million RP- Bump $.3 million B- Easley $.75 million B- Aguila $.3 million B- Harris $.3 million B- Treanor $.3 million $51.8 before Pudge and Hampton (and I'm missing 2 roster spots) Pudge - $2 million Hampton- $11 million $64.8 after Pudge and Hampton, by my figures that I got from Rotoworld and Dugout Dollars. Now, I'm not sure how Lo Duca's deal is structured, and I don't know what Cabrera and Willis got, but it's probably higher than what I estimated.
January 19, 200521 yr Wild Card; I was wondering the same thing. Without the deferred money to Hampton and Rodriguez I come up with approximately 53 million. This could fluctuate depending upon performance bonuses and what the Fish decide to award non-arbitration eligible players (i.e. Cabrera, Willis, Bump, etc.) Anyways... Starting Pitchers Burnett 3.65 Mil Beckett 2.4 Mil Leiter 8.0 Mil Willis 400 K Valdez 800 k Bullpen Mota 2.5 Mil Spooney 350K Riedling 750K Alfonseca 1.35 Mil Perisho 475K Jones 425K Bump 350K Position Players Loduca 5 Mil Conine 3 Mil Castillo 4.67 Mill Lowell 6.5 Mil Gonzalez 2.8 Mil Encarnacion 4.45 Mil Cabrera 450k Pierre 2.4 Mil Bench Easley 750K Aguila 300K Treanor 300K W.Delgado 350K Dillon 300K Unless we land Delgado, we should come out of spring training with something like this.
January 19, 200521 yr Sav Marlin is correct. Welcome to the Boards You keep posting like that and you'll get very far. When we get Hampton+Pudge+Koch+Encarnacion we will have about 20 Million to deal with. That would be nice Delgado money and should be good enough to re-sign Burnett depending on the type of season he has.
January 19, 200521 yr as far as what is paid this season: jp - 3.5 lc - 4.5 mc - 0.5 pl - 4.0 ml - 7.5 jc - 3.0 je - 2.5 ($ from LA) ag - 4.0 aj - 3.65 jb - 2.4 al - 2.5 dw - 0.5 iv - 0.75 gm - 2.6 ts - 0.35 aa - 0.3 jr - 0.75 tj - 0.425 mp - 0.475 de - 0.75 44.95 + 11 hampton/pudge is 55.95 plus the addition of 5 bench players
