Super Bowl XXXIX

Giving Bellicek more than like 15 minutes to prepare is liek a death sentence. 2 weeks is going to be Armagedon.

I think Jim Johnson has earned the right to be up there with Belichek.....He's the best defensive coordinator in football and since the Steelers debacle has turned this defense into a force to be reckoned with. As usual, Philadelphia is getting no respect.....That's alright, i guess it'll have to come when we win.

TO is likely not to play.

Actually Dr. Rebirth if i may call you that, he's most likely going to play and will be close to 100%...His rehab is well ahead of schedule and during postgame press conferences, it was said that he'll be practicing. So thanks for lying about the prognosis.

I got it from ESPNews earlier today.

It sure has gotten the Eagles alot of rings.

Do you really think TO scares the Pats? Hines Ward didnt. Reggie Wayne didnt. Marvin Harrison didnt.

Pats are -6 on the early line, I expect that number to go down once people start pounding the Eagles +6

It wasn't the defense's fault that they lost the others.....The offense didnt show up....All i'm gonna say is that the Pats ordinary offense hasnt met the best D coordinator in football...

TO does not scare the Pats. The Pats are fearless right now. They're in charge at this point. They have earned their respect, and their respect WILL be given to them. The last 2 years I have picked the losing team to win the Super Bowl. But this year that streak WILL end. :)

PA - The Mediocre offense that just lit the best D in the NFL?

Weiss is some offensive slouch too....

Get off your blind homerism and realize you have a mountain to climb to win this thing.

Best D in the NFL??? How many pro bowlers on their defense??? How many on Philly's???

Pro Bowlers...thats a good way to prove the talent of a defense.

Jeremiah Trotter barely played half a year...and he made it...shows you how sad the NFC was this season.

Lets look at some numbers...

Overall defense: (Yards)

1. Pittsburgh (258)

Philly: 319

Rushing:

1. Pittsburgh (81.2)

Philly: 119

Passing:

3. Pittsburgh (191)

Philly: 217

Thoughts?

It doesn't matter wheather or not your a pro bowler when it comes to the Super Bowl. You don't get extra points for that in the Super Bowl. In the Super Bowl both teams are even no matter how they performed in the past. And look at the poor Dolphins. They sure have a good defense...so many people from their defense went to the pro bowl and they have o so many rings...let me tell you...

This thread is about the Super Bowl, and pro bowlers have nothing to do with the Super Bowl. So please stay ON topic. :p

I think the Pats will win, but if the Eagles pull it off I wouldn't be surprised.

With that said, as much as I don't like the Eagles, I really am tired of the Pats, and the Eagles also have CPL product Donovan McNabb and NIU grad Hollis Thomas, so I'll pull for them.

Hey, can you get the PPG allowed averages of those 2 teams?? I'd bet Pitt's is better in that too, but points per game allowed >>>>>> yards per game allowed in terms of importance obviously.

I honestly dont even think I will watch this game now......im waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too bitter about the Steelers loosing!! :( :crying :crying :mad

I'd prefer the Eagles win the Superbowl because I hate the Pats. McNabb is cool too.

I really like the QB matchup in this game even though I think the game overall sucks because the Patriots are going to be the favorite and are probably going to dominate. Brady vs. McNabb should be a very interesting matchup to watch.

Yeah, sorry my bad.

I hope they tie or something

but I guess I'll root for New England being Yankee-bred

I hate Superbowl XXXIX, Jacksonville is a little too close for such uckyness. The game should be played in Canada. :thumbdown
