Pavano had to go before Delgado

Featured Replies

Hell yes. I think that is a great point, Quick.

Pavano is overrated as a pitcher, let the Yankees over pay for him. Meanwhile, we will sneak in and grab Leiter - whom the Muts tossed aside - and steal Delgado - one of the best power hitters in the game.

Beinfest and Loria have done an excellent job here. Wow.

I have to give props to beinfest and Loria also. I don't believe Pavano is overrated, but starting pitching should not have been our focus, because I don't think we were gonna go anywhere with the same lineup as last year. The Leiter signing was smart because it's only a 1 year deal and by 2006 some of our good young pitching in the minors should be ready.

Before this I wasn't exactly sure if Loria was really willing to go all out to win, but now I think it's pretty clear that he's willing to spend the money.

Basically I would trade Pavano for Al Leiter and Carlos Delgado ANY DAY!!!
