Marlins set select a seat record

Featured Replies

Attendance is nearly as important as wins and losses this year for the sake of the franchise.

the article goes on to state that the Marlins expect FanFest to be an even bigger day with regards to ticket sales. Very nice to hear. This is going to be a great year all around.

Thats awesome news. I am sure at fan fest they will easily top 210,000. So atleast 360,000 in 4 days is not bad. That doesnt accout for thursday and friday.

damn i counld go to the select a seat :banghead :banghead :banghead

o well ill get my tickets i always always sit next to the rightfield foul poll i dont think ill get them this year tho. but as long its the outfield

i just hope the seats dont run out for April 5. unlikely as it is. i still havent bought my ticket!!!

Don't worry, they'll just keep opening upperdeck sections as long as the demand is there.

Personally I'd like to see 65,000 there for opening day.

I agree... I would love to see 65,000 at the game on opening day :)

How many did we have last year, 55,000? It would be nice to atleast get to 50,000

It seemed like more. I was there and it was crazy but fun.

Playing the braves instead of the expos should help out with that. That and the addition of Delgado vs losses of Pudge and Lee last year

I'd be thrilled with 55k again. The 4pm versus 1pm start time helps, as does Delgado, but the unveiling of the banner was big for most people.

The banner definetly sold alot of tickets. But you have atlanta who is always a good draw, plus delgado, plus its opening day (which usually would get in the 33,000 range) For sure it will be over 40,000

Does that mean that FanFest is going to be packed again like last year, and you will have to wait two hours in line for 1 autograph? :confused oh well I will get over it since the attendance is good for the team.
