Great list there.. I'm a big Our Lady Peace fan too... Matthew Good Band is pretty good too, but I haven't seen anything new from them lately... If I had to list 10 bands that I've been listening to a lot lately, I'd have to say:

Breaking Benjamin

Crossfade

Green Day

Foo Fighters

Jimmy Eat World

Keane

The Killers

Stroke 9

Sum 41

U2

I'm a big country fan too... Best country singer out there is Tim McGraw.

Your taste is exactly like a 13 year old girl's taste.

Punk = The Clash, The Ramones, etc.

Not people like Yellowcard and stuff.

I don't agree with the first three on his list, but there's nothing wrong with the rest of it... Those are good solid punk rock bands....

I saw your list dude. I don't think you're one to be judging others.. You got Michael Jackson and Lil' Jon.. That's just a disturbing combination.. You remove Michael Jackson, and you got something my 9 year old niece would probably listen to in Lil Jon..

Ryan Cabrera should come with some type of warning. My name is Ryan Cabrera but my music has no latin flavor but I'll to market myself as a latino anyway shamelessly.

If you think MIchael Jackson is a bad musician, you're a moron. Also, the only reason Lil' Jon's on the list is because he's hilarious. All he does is scream and curse and I find it amusing. Also, if your 9 year old cousin listens to and understands NWA, Talib Kweli, or Tupac, then she must be mature well beyond her years.

A little defensive are we?? Michael Jackson is a great artist. He's obviously a pop icon, but it's not my kind of music. I was just messing around with the whole Michael Jackson and a young boy thing...

As for my niece (not cousin...not very good at reading comprehension were ya??), I said she probably listens to Lil Jon cause they're probably the same age. Nowhere did I link Lil Jon to any of those other crappy "artists" you mentioned.

And why do you have to throw insults around? It's the immaturity you're displaying that makes some people on this board so aggravating. There are a lot of people on this board that still have a lot of growing up to do. Ya'll need to learn how to carry a conversation without insulting people. If someone doesn't agree with you, it's OK.... :thumbup

Jazz>>>>>>>>>Than all.

I also like Red Hot Chili Peppers a lot.

Good Jazz:

Any John Coltrane you can lay your hands on

Hank Mobley

Parker/Gillespie

Michael Brecker

Bob Minzter

Miles Davis

Jaco Pastorius

Count Basie

Thelonius Monk

Joe Henderson

Stan Getz

Dexter Gordon

I could go on.

Where was the insult? "Mature well beyond her years" certainly isn't an insult. Unless you consider maturity an insult.

Wow dude... So, not only are you not good at reading comprehension, but you must have short term memory loss..... Or you just honestly don't know when you're insulting someone...

"If you think MIchael Jackson is a bad musician, you're a moron."

Punk/Pop Rock

In no order....

1. Story of the Year

2. Dashboard Confessional

3. The Starting Line

4. New Found Glory

5. Green Day

6. Aerosmith/Queen/Goo Dolls

I read what you quoted from my post and thought that you were saying I was making a crack at your niece.

Nah dude... we may all get into our little discussions here, but we tend to keep it civilized (except when you call me a moron - :p )... I knew you weren't saying anything about her.

Punk

:banghead The :banghead Clash :banghead

there is a big difference between punk-rock and pop-punk, so dont get both mixed ... it offends me lol

all these newcomers are POP ... with a little punk but nothing else

if you want some good bubblegum pop punk listen to the legendary boys ... not the pretty boys nowadays

the queers

big drill car

doughboys

DESCENDENTS

circle jerks

all the good charlotte, blink182, yellowcards, story of the year ect ... need to send a good sum of their royalty checks to the aforementioned bands

That's a great list, but if those are rankings, how is B.I.G. 1 and Public Enemy 10? Lyrically Chuck D was far superior, and the Bomb Squad made arguably the best beats ever. If Chuck D would have died, he would in everyone's top 3 mc's.

i love greenday!! i walk a lonely road, down the boulevardof broken dreams. thats my jam. greenday, in my opinion, is one of thebest out there. im not a fan of rock, so i dont know many others. but greenday rocks.
